"Thank you for reminding just now." Lu Wanwan sat in the car, her voice light and drifting.
Her tone was extrely self-deprecating, as if she had just experienced the most pathetic joke.
"Your reminder kept from looking even more like a clown in front of him." Lu Wanwan looked out the window and continued, "If I weren’t ntally prepared, I’d really think that coming back would an nothing happened."
As she spoke, she laughed again, "I really didn’t expect the first thing upon returning would be a divorce. I actually thought of many possibilities, but this was the one I never anticipated. My reaction must be quite funny, right?"
How laughable, she was once so confident he would believe her.
Arthur looked at her, "No, all I can see is that you love him very much. Perhaps, you need soone who knows how to cherish you more."
"Drive on!" Lu Wanwan took a deep breath, looked out the window, and forced a slight smile, "It’s okay, this isn’t the worst ending I imagined. At least he’s safe and sound."
Arthur nodded, "It’s best if you can think it through. As for Xiao Ye, don’t worry about him, we will find him. If you have any clues about him, please be sure to tell ."
Arthur was certain he could get news of Xiao Ye from Lu Wanwan.
Because even he could guess that since Xiao Ye had taken her, he wouldn’t let her go so easily.
Now it’s uncertain whether Lu Wanwan knows Xiao Ye’s true purpose. If she knows, even if Xiao Ye doesn’t co to her, she will find a way to contact him.
For now, she seems unaware.
Arthur took Lu Wanwan to the Ye Mansion and watched her walk inside.
That desolate silhouette was extrely pitiful.
He wanted to curse Gu Annan, but after thinking carefully, perhaps if he were in the sa position, he might make the sa decision.
So wounds are ant to prevent greater harm.

"Miss Lu, you’re back."
As Lu Wanwan entered the Ye Mansion, she heard a familiar voice.
She looked up, "Aunt Qiu?"
This was the caregiver, Qiu Wenpei, who took care of her grandmother back then, almost like family to her.
But after she left Manchester six years ago, she never saw Aunt Qiu again.
"Aunt Qiu, why are you here?"
So of the servants in the villa looked unfamiliar to her, but upon entering the Ye Mansion, it was clear that it wasn’t abandoned for a prolonged period; rather, it was kept tidy and ready for people to live in at any ti.
After returning from the United States to Manchester, it’s not that Lu Wanwan hadn’t thought of this place.
Even Gu Annan asked her why she didn’t live here and instead rented a place.
Her excuse back then was the proximity and the inability to afford the upkeep of such a large mansion.
But that was only part of the reason; more so, she was afraid.
Afraid of seeing the once-family ho nearly abandoned, without any family inside.
A house is just a house; without family, how can it be called a ho?
"Miss Lu, co in and rest; you look so pale." Qiu Wenpei looked at her, feeling extrely sorry.
It felt like seeing Lu Wanwan when she was shattered and devastated after Lady Ye’s passing back then.
"Actually, it was Mr. Gu who asked to co here." Qiu Wenpei felt her hands were ice-cold, so she personally made a cup of hot tea and handed it to her.
