Birth control pills!
The voice hit her like a thunderbolt, freezing her in place.
Yue Siqing intends to force her to take birth control pills?
Gu Anjin hadn’t even considered this possibility, but hearing it with her own ears...
The voice that answered was ice-cold, "Did I ask you to ddle?"
"Sorry, Mr. Yue..."
Gu Anjin couldn’t listen any further and quickly ran downstairs.
"Miss Gu." On the stairs, the doctor called out to her, surprised, "Miss Gu, you’re awake?"
Gu Anjin took a deep breath and turned around nonchalantly, "Is there sothing you need? I’ve already taken the dications and applied the ointnt. Now I have so things to do and want to go out."
The doctor smiled warmly and had a servant pour a glass of water, "There’s still a painkiller you should take after you wake up."
"Give it to ." She showed no signs of anything amiss.
The doctor, seeing she didn’t react, handed her the dication, and the servant also passed her a glass of water.
Fortunately, the pill was small. Gu Anjin pressed the dication under her tongue and took a sip of water.
"Is there anything else? If not, I’ll be going. I’m eting a friend."
"Nothing else."
On the stairs, Yue Siqing’s thin lips held a slight frown, his figure seed to be in the shadows, watching the girl swallow the pill and leave from a high vantage point.
After leaving the manor, Gu Anjin hurriedly spat out the dication, not swallowing even a drop of saliva.
Once she spat it out, she quickly ran to the garage, drove a car, and sped away.
*
After leaving the manor, she wandered aimlessly on the street.
She even forgot her initial purpose of finding Arthur, and instead of going to the city, she drove in the opposite direction.
On the road with few cars, she drove until finally coming to a stop.
From last night until now, she hadn’t properly thought about this matter.
Yue Siqing said they should talk, but they hadn’t really said anything.
The so-called talk was just to inform her that Sophia was dead.
Does this have anything to do with her?
Sophia was the one who drugged him, but the person who forced himself on her was Yue Siqing.
Even if she wanted revenge, she wouldn’t take it out on Sophia.
But what could she do about him?
Suddenly, her phone rang.
Seeing it was Arthur, she answered, "What’s up?"
"Why does your voice sound hoarse?" Arthur noticed her voice sounded strange, "Are you sick?"
"No."
"It couldn’t be that you went karaoke singing, right?" Arthur joked.
Gu Anjin lay her head on the steering wheel, looking down.
Seeing the marks on her body, she felt it was inappropriate to et Arthur like this.
"Not really. Let’s just say I’m sick. I caught a cold."
"Where are you? Or haven’t you gone out yet? Want to co pick you up?" Arthur asked in good spirits.
Gu Anjin began to regret sending that ssage to Arthur, "No need, I don’t feel like going out. You should go back, I caught a cold and need to rest."
"Let co see you."
"No need, there’s nothing to see with sleeping."
Arthur, helpless, said, "Then you should rest."
"Hmm, you should focus on your brother’s matters."
After hanging up the call, Gu Anjin took a deep breath.
So where should she go, or should she just book a ticket back to Manchester?
Then to the airport it is.
No one wants to say goodbye; this ti she’ll leave without saying a word to anyone.
Just as she planned to drive to the airport, several jeeps suddenly rushed out and surrounded her.
The people who got out were dressed in camouflage, with people of all races, but all of them looked anything but kind.
