Chapter 464: Chapter 464: Dramatic Relative Relationships (4)
“Lingyun.”
“Enough,” Bai Lingyun lifted his hand, “It seems you had already decided to leave the family because of this. I have nothing to say about it, do as you please.”
Bai Youchen’s gaze towards Lu Wanwan beca sowhat complicated.
Before he could speak, Bai Lingyun turned his head to Lu Wanwan and said, “Last ti I told you, we don’t have any lodramatic relative relationship. But now, you have one in front of you.”
Lu Wanwan was shocked, “You are… ”
“My na is Bai Youchen, you can call Youchen,” Bai Youchen spoke in a feeble voice, “He’s a bit emotional toward , that’s why he put it so bluntly to you. If you can’t accept it, I understand.”
Lu Wanwan recalled what Bai Lingyun had said last ti, that his mother had once been in love with her uncle.
This is… her uncle’s son whom she had never t?
The atmosphere suddenly beca a bit stiff, as both Lu Wanwan and Bai Youchen looked at each other uncertainly.
All because Bai Lingyun gave them no ntal preparation whatsoever.
“I have sothing to take care of so I’ll be leaving first,” Bai Lingyun said icily, “I’ll tell my mother you’re still alive, just like that. Wanwan, I rember you need to leave, too. Go change your clothes first.”
Lu Wanwan looked at Bai Youchen’s complexion, “Then… take care and rest well, I’ll co to see you so other day.”
Following Bai Lingyun out of the hospital, she got into the car, “Couldn’t you have given a heads up?”
Bai Lingyun didn’t start the car imdiately, staring at the windshield, “You think I knew about it before you did? I had no idea why he left ho. Only after I learned about my mother’s secret did I entertain such a guess. It was just now, seeing his reaction to the ntion of the Ye Family, that I beca certain.”
“He’s my… cousin,” Lu Wanwan said, feeling indescribable.
The Ye Family’s connections had withered, reportedly due to an accident in the past.
After her grandmother’s death, her father’s actions completely disheartened her, and she had always felt that she no longer had any relatives.
Bai Lingyun pondered for a mont before finally starting the car.
“How did he end up being chased by soone? Who exactly is he?”
“You can ask him yourself, if he’s willing to tell you,” Bai Lingyun drove, “Anyway, don’t forget the things I told you. Do not ntion that you’ve seen him.”
Bai Lingyun took her to the downtown area to avoid getting caught by paparazzi, letting her off the car ahead of ti.
“Oh, by the way.”
Before Lu Wanwan got out of the car, he, wearing sunglasses, looked out the window, “How does being married feel?”
“…” She looked inside the car, at a loss for an answer, not knowing how Bai Lingyun knew.
She couldn’t see the eyes behind the sunglasses, but after a mont, she saw his lips curve up, “If you regret it, you can always divorce, it’s no big deal.”
Lu Wanwan: “…Thanks, this is the most unique blessing I’ve ever received!”
“I wasn’t blessing you.”
After his last words, the car window rolled up.
Lu Wanwan went to buy a new set of clothes and had just changed when she received a call from Gu Annan.
“You’re not at ho?!” His tone seed sowhat grave.
Lu Wanwan walked to the counter, while responding, she handed over a card, “I’m out.”
After swiping the card, the cashier said, “Please sign.”
“Shopping?”
She humd in response.
The tone on the other end softened a bit, “Send the address.”
“No need, I’ll be right back.” She signed her na, handing back the receipt.
There was silence on the other end for a mont, followed by a cool counter-question, “Are you going to tell or not?”
She reluctantly gave the address, why so domineering!
