"Do you hear ?" Seeing that she didn’t respond, Gu Annan lowered his voice even more, his tone sowhat interrogative.
Lu Wanwan gave a vague nod.
She had no choice; if Gu Annan didn’t leave, she herself couldn’t leave either.
Otherwise, leaving would blow her cover unless she stayed until Gu Annan left first.
Anyway, as the CEO, he was bound to be much busier than she was.
He was satisfied with her agreent and continued to ask, "Shall I wait for you at your door tomorrow, or in the restaurant downstairs?"
There was no way it could be at the door.
"Restaurant."
"Co down on ti. No sleeping in, or I’ll wake you up my way. Got it?"
Lu Wanwan hesitated, seemingly on the verge of saying sothing.
"What’s the problem?"
"There’s a big problem," she retorted, giving him a look, "Why do I have to have breakfast with you?"
"Is there a problem having breakfast with ?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Of course, there’s no problem for you. Maybe for you, being caught by the paparazzi is no big deal. It just seems like an ex-wife is seducing you, leading to the kind of trouble any man might get into..."
She didn’t finish her sentence when the man who had just relaxed his grip pressed her tight again, "I’m involved with several won? I’ve told you, my relationship with Shuman isn’t what you think. If you prefer to believe the dia, that’s easy. I can get all the dia to stop their baseless speculation right now and prove to the whole world who I’m actually involved with!"
His words were harsh, and though his anger was evident, he wasn’t joking.
"No need," she quickly shook her head, knowing that if he dared say it, he would dare do it.
Even though her mind was still roiling from his unhesitating words, she forced herself to stay calm.
She wasn’t ntally prepared to face the dia, nor could she let paparazzi disturb her son and daughter.
The light in Gu Annan’s eyes dimd, his lips tugging into a strained smile, and he asked jokingly, "So secretive, do you want to keep this underground?"
Lu Wanwan was still shaken by his previous unequivocal words, and she noticed the sadness in his eyes after her decisive refusal.
"Let’s, let’s keep it this way for now..." She frowned deeply, feeling poisoned by him these past few days, unable to say anything to clarify the situation.
How could she clarify it? She felt it was beyond clarification.
She needed to go back and think about the most troubling issues at hand.
"So, still thinking underground?" His tone seed calm, but his heart wasn’t.
At least it wasn’t a ’no’.
"I’ll go back first." She turned to leave.
Gu Annan held her waist, not letting go just yet, "Wait. I have no complaints about not facing the public; we don’t have that obligation to explain so much to them. But..."
"I don’t want to say anything right now, can you just let go back first?" As he was close to determining sothing, her mind was still in turmoil.
Once he found out what had happened over the last six years, he probably wouldn’t be so easygoing.
"I’ll co to the restaurant tomorrow, that’s it." Lu Wanwan pulled his hands away and walked straight out the door.
Gu Annan’s lips curled into a smile, but a touch of worry crossed his face when he saw the ss in his suitcase.
Was she deliberately making things difficult for him?

Lu Wanwan, who hadn’t slept all night, fell asleep just before dawn.
Little Momo and Little Youyou, all dressed up, looked at their sweetly sleeping Mommy, "Brother, Mommy’s question yesterday was so strange, huh."
