“Strange?” Little Momo raised an eyebrow, and Mommy was just testing the waters.
“It’s the first ti Mommy has asked us about Daddy, but… I still want Uncle Gu to be Daddy,” Little Youyou followed her brother out of the room. “What if our Daddy isn’t that good? What if he doesn’t like us? I’m so worried.”
“We’ll know about that later.”
Right before closing the door, Little Youyou took one last look inside. “Is it really okay not to wake up Mommy?”
“We can have breakfast and co back to wake up Mommy.”
But does Daddy need to eat breakfast twice?
Lu Wanwan opened her eyes groggily, looking at the empty room, and suddenly snapped to full alertness.
Damn, she overslept.
Why didn’t the alarm go off?
She frantically searched for her phone, only to find that the alarm had been turned off.
Oh no, it must have been Little Youyou. Although the gesture was thoughtful, did you know this could cause Mommy trouble?
“Youyou, did you turn off Mommy’s alarm?”
Lu Wanwan was sowhat frantic, not expecting to have slept straight through to noon.
After rushing into the bathroom, she found no trace of the two children.
When she checked her text ssages, one read, “Mommy, we’ve gone to the beach to play, you just work peacefully!”
She knew Little Youyou always liked the sea, and they hardly had the ti or opportunity to go out and play.

She suddenly rembered Gu Annan was on Gale Island too, along with Ji Shaoyang and the others.
The island was not small, but two children might not draw attention; still, there was always that risk.
She imdiately texted Little Momo back and found out everything was fine. Little Momo told her to rest easy, saying they had run into Uncle Jiu Li and were planning a day trip with him.
Lu Wanwan simply didn’t know what to say. She didn’t want to trouble Jiu Li with this, but since it had already happened, at least they could effectively stay away from Gu Annan.
Gu Annan had said he’d co over in the morning, but he hadn’t reached out by this ti, which made her even more uneasy.
She didn’t want him to discover the children in such a sudden way.
After so thought, Lu Wanwan got out of bed, freshened up and changed clothes, and then dialed his number.
“I overslept…”
The voice on the other end was very calm, and he seed to be in a good mood. “I guessed as much.”
“So…”
“Co and open the door.”
She held the phone as she went to open the door, and sure enough, Gu Annan was standing outside.
Dressed in neat casual wear, his hands casually tucked in his pockets as he waited outside.
Seeing her co out, Gu Annan leisurely put his phone back in his pocket, his gaze wandering over her. “Had a good sleep?”
He hadn’t slept much longer himself, having gotten up early in the morning.
After having breakfast with the children and playing by the sea all morning.
Once he knew she had woken up, Little Momo indicated that he had a way to make her stop worrying about him and his sister, so he could focus on “work”, and he ca straight over.
“I forgot to set the alarm.”
Gu Annan curved his lips, thinking of Little Youyou’s earlier bragging.
I turned off Mommy’s alarm, so she could sleep well and be in a good mood!
Lu Wanwan felt guilty under his gaze, as if soone had seen through her lies.
“Really?” His smile deepened, his obsidian-like pupils especially bright as he lowered his voice, “Why didn’t you go to sleep earlier last night?”
“Who says I didn’t go to sleep early last night?”
He lifted a finger, the cool tip tracing beneath her eyes, “You’ve got panda eyes.”
