"Dad,"
"Husband,"
The mother and daughter instinctively called out, only realizing what they had said after they spoke. Willow Lancaster lowered her eyes, her lips pressed tightly together.
Catherine Taylor set down the food box she was holding and stood up, looking at Gabriel Lancaster standing outside the door and asked sowhat awkwardly, "Do you... need sothing?"
Ever since their daughter was hospitalized, Gabriel Lancaster had only appeared the first day and hadn’t co again since.
Gabriel Lancaster’s expression looked even more unpleasant. He glared at Catherine Taylor and said displeased, "See you at the civil affairs bureau tomorrow morning!"
Catherine Taylor’s lips moved, and she slowly nodded, "Okay,"
Gabriel...
He let out a cold snort, flicked his sleeve, and turned to leave.
Catherine Taylor withdrew her gaze, focusing on a spot, her tightly bitten lips trembling slightly.
Willow Lancaster shuffled over in her slippers, gently holding her mother’s arm and softly said, "Mom, let’s eat," seeming much more mature after this ordeal.
Catherine Taylor turned back, took a noticeable deep breath, her eyes slightly red as she didn’t dare et her daughter’s gaze, forcing a faint smile, "Alright, alright, let’s eat, let’s eat,"
From the inpatient departnt to the hospital’s entrance, Gabriel Lancaster’s expression remained sour, as though cast in dark iron, cursing Catherine Taylor a hundred tis over in his heart.
A woman as stupid as a pig, hadn’t she always been crying and clutching at him, unwilling to divorce? Today she finally showed so backbone by agreeing so readily!
Humph! Who does she think would be reluctant?"
Gabriel Lancaster snorted coldly and slamd the car door shut.
By the ti Evander Lancaster finished dealing with Gabriel’s matter, it was lunchti, and he didn’t have ti for lunch. He took off his white coat and grabbed his jacket, putting it on as he walked out of the office.
His brother called to say that the troubleso woman went to work at the company. He had to go check, considering she just had an abortion—could her body handle it?
Evander Lancaster drove all the way to Nathan Moore’s office building, parked in a temporary spot, and then opened the car door and got out.
While dating Sophia Hamilton, Evander had always been high-profile, personally picking her up for work every day. Being good friends with Nathan, he simply smiled and waved at the reception desk in the lobby and headed straight for the elevators.
On the executive office floor, it was lunchti, and the secretary’s desk was empty. Sophia Hamilton had gone to the employee cafeteria for lunch, while Nathan was enjoying a loving al delivered by Titus Zane in his office.
Not seeing Sophia Hamilton, Evander headed directly for Nathan’s office, and without knocking, he turned the handle to enter.
Inside, Nathan and Titus Zane were sitting on the sofa, both slightly turned towards each other. Titus held a small white spoon and was feeding Nathan rice.
The office door suddenly opened, and Nathan turned his gaze over, his obsidian eyes clearly displeased.
Evander paused at the door and, realizing what was happening, smiled as he walked in, "Oh, brother, enjoying special treatnt? Hurt your hand? Can’t manage on your own? Need your wife to feed you?"
Titus Zane, with a thin skin, although an old friend of Evander’s, was still a woman.
Her face heated up, and she was about to return the small spoonful of rice to the food box when Nathan grasped her wrist, opened his mouth, and swallowed all the rice, giving Evander a proud glance, "We’re happily married, is that any of your business? Unlike soone else, if I’m not mistaken, you’ll be sleeping alone again, won’t you."
Evander...
Left with no choice as the couple occupied the client’s sofa, he went to sit on the chair in front of the desk and said helplessly, "Brother, I know you two have a good relationship, but do you have to rub it in?"
