"Don’t forget, back when you and your sister-in-law had a fight, I was the one trying to smooth things over. Now, is this how you repay your brother?"
Evander Lancaster wouldn’t have brought up the past if it didn’t bother Nathan Moore. If it weren’t for him, Titus Zane wouldn’t have brought up old grievances last night, and wouldn’t have thrown a little tantrum to prevent him from touching her. He’s got no choice but to let her indulge at his own expense.
It was thrilling, but his chest still aches now.
Nathan instinctively raised his hand to rub his chest, and Titus, seeing this, felt her face flush even more.
"What’s there to repay? Brothers are ant for teasing."
Nathan said nonchalantly, reaching out to grasp Titus’s wrist, then scooped a small spoonful of rice and brought it to her lips. Seeing his insistence, she had no choice but to eat it, then sneakily glanced at Evander and bit her lip in refusal.
Nathan took the lunchbox and small spoon from Titus’s hand, took a bite, then fed it to Titus, not feeling awkward in front of Evander at all.
Evander is used to Nathan showing public displays of affection wherever and whenever. However, his words as a brother were a bit harsh.
Placing his hands on the armrests of the chair, he sighed helplessly, "Second Bro, what you’re doing isn’t right. Not that I’m criticizing as a brother, but if you’re happy, shouldn’t you spare your brother’s suffering?"
"Serves you right, you brought it on yourself," Nathan replied nonchalantly, scooping another spoonful of rice to feed Titus. You have to perform well in front of your wife; otherwise, she might not let you touch her tonight if she’s unhappy.
Sure enough, after Nathan sniped at Evander, Titus smiled at him approvingly.
n who aren’t good to won deserve to be single!
That’s Titus’s doctrine for Nathan, especially after learning that Sophia Hamilton had an abortion. She even warned Nathan not to use his power to help Evander. Such n who don’t know how to cherish what they have ought to pay for it.
Currently, Nathan ranks his wife as the most important, well above his brother.
Evander...
Feeling he couldn’t engage in conversation pleasantly anymore, sitting there just felt out of place and unwelco, so he got up, "Alright, I won’t disturb you lovebirds. I’ll head outside. That should be okay, right?"
"No need to see you out," Nathan said casually, offering another spoonful to Titus. After Evander left the office, Nathan quickly fawned, "Honey, how did I do?"
"Not bad," Titus haughtily lifted her chin, and Nathan handed her the lunchbox, "Your turn to feed now."
Evander sat in Sophia Hamilton’s chair, hands in his pockets, bored and fidgeting with the desk in front of him, waiting for Sophia to return.
The little hothead was stubborn; he knew she wouldn’t answer his call, so he had no choice but to wait for her here. It seems he needs to win her over once more.
Evander sighed, feeling bored. He opened the drawer under Sophia’s desk, finding it packed with snacks, and pulled out chocolate and beef jerky.
He hadn’t had lunch, so he decided to snack a bit to ease his hunger.
Sophia stepped out of the elevator, noticing soone sitting at her desk from afar, and instinctively frowned. As she got closer, seeing it was Evander, eating her snacks, she hurried over and shouted, "Jerk! Who said you could steal my food!"
Caught off guard by the sudden voice, Evander wasn’t prepared, and the beef jerky he was about to swallow got stuck in his throat. He bent over, coughing continuously, his face turning red.
