"Why?" Elizabeth White asked, puzzled, furrowing her brows. Felix Shaw curved his lips and said, "Why isn’t important. Anyway, we’re still young. In the future, when we have a baby, my parents won’t have a reason to object."
Although Felix Shaw didn’t explicitly state the reason he couldn’t marry Elizabeth White, she still heard the undertones that his parents opposed their relationship.
