Elizabeth White’s mind was racing, yet her face still bore a pitiful look, as she clutched Felix Shaw’s hand and looked at him pleadingly, "Felix, could you promise sothing?"
"Alright, tell ." With the loss of the baby and seeing her in this state, how could he refuse?
"Felix," Elizabeth called out, her lips pouting with grievance, clasping Felix’s hands tightly, "Promise , when you’re with , don’t be with her, I’ll get jealous, I’ll be heartbroken..."
With the last word, a tear rolled down, and Elizabeth in this mont looked like the heroine from Aunt Yao’s drama.
Her porcelain face, innocent and harmless in appearance, frowned slightly, gazing at Felix, tears silently falling; her pitiable look was beyond what words like sorrowful beauty could describe.
Felix’s handso brows furrowed tighter and tighter, he held Elizabeth’s hands, nodded, "I promise."
"Felix, thank you..." Elizabeth continued to pout aggrievedly, "Fool, thank for what," Felix chuckled, pinching Elizabeth’s tear-reddened nose, to which she reluctantly dodged, then shifted slightly on the bed, "Cold, hold while I sleep."
"Alright," Felix stood up, took off his jacket, lifted the quilt, and lay down on the bed, pulling Elizabeth into his arms.
Felix stayed in C City for nearly a week, only returning to T City after arranging everything for Elizabeth upon her discharge from the hospital and return to the film set.
Originally, he had promised to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for a new project with Mia Foster, but he missed it because he went to C Province to accompany Elizabeth. For this, Oliver Shaw severely reprimanded him, although he didn’t know where his son went, he surely felt it had sothing to do with that young celebrity.
After scolding his son, Oliver Shaw sternly warned, "As long as I’m alive, I won’t let her in! I, Oliver Shaw, only recognize Mia Foster as my daughter-in-law. If you’re not satisfied, you can get out too!"
At the film set, during lunch, while the rest of the actors were holding boxed lunches, a dining table was set before Elizabeth, full of delicacies, as she sat with her assistant, dining like at a restaurant.
"Elizabeth, this miscarriage of yours was worth it, getting Director Shaw’s genuine affection. But you must seize the opportunity now; don’t wait until he marries and ditches you." Sister Lisa said while eating, Elizabeth picked up a green vegetable and put it into her al bowl, scoffing lightly, "Hmph, he promised , besides , he won’t touch any woman. What’s marriage got to do with it? That woman would still be left alone, right?"
"And you believe a man’s words!"
Sister Lisa remarked disdainfully, but Elizabeth more triumphantly raised her chin, "Sister Lisa, you didn’t see last night, did you? When he saw cry, he almost cried too. Before leaving, he left a card, now tell , shouldn’t I believe such a man’s words?"
Sister Lisa glanced at Elizabeth and didn’t continue the topic. Whether Felix would stay faithful to her was of no interest to her, she sighed with a frown, "How could you be so careless, how did you end up pregnant?"
This was sothing actors dreaded most, once the dia got a hold of such news and spread it, it would be even harder to bounce back after a public image collapse.
Many well-known celebrities were just as careless, being caught by the dia in indiscreet private lives, resulting in netizens rejecting them...
Elizabeth chuckled softly, glanced at Sister Lisa sideways, and said, "And you believe such lies!"
