On set, it was almost midnight and lody Zachary was still filming. In the resting area, Oliver Shaw kept glancing at his watch, his tightly furrowed brow revealing his urgency.
Today is New Year’s Day, and he had rushed to the set hoping to celebrate with lody, but she kept making excuses that she didn’t have ti. At noon, she left with that old man she was acting opposite in the drama, even inviting that old man into her caravan. When Oliver tried to follow, he was bluntly kicked off.
There were many people on set, and soone of his status couldn’t just force his way in. So he went nearby to fill his stomach and then returned to the set to wait.
lody only returned to the set in the evening, and the old man was still with her in the caravan. The two of them chatted and laughed all the way, and anyone observing might have thought they were married.
Humph!
Oliver Shaw snorted discontentedly. lody Zachary, this woman—her taste has deteriorated since leaving him. That man looks like he’s over sixty, yet she finds him appealing!
Despite his dissatisfaction, when he saw lody, he still approached her proactively with a smile, "lody, you’re back?"
"lody, who’s this?" The old man beside lody asked. lody’s reply nearly made Oliver explode with rage, "Ah, this is my cousin. He heard I was filming and happened to pass by to visit."
Oliver Shaw...
His face looked as if it had frost on it, terribly unsightly. Cousin? Passing by? He damn well flew over specifically to see her, how did that turn into passing by?
And what truly angered Oliver was what happened next. That old man, upon hearing lody call him her cousin, hurriedly extended his hand to grasp Oliver’s, saying with a smile, "Cousin, I’m Strong Williams. My colleagues call Old Strong!"
The word cousin almost made Oliver spit out a mouthful of old blood. An old man of his age, face full of wrinkles, calling him cousin? If it weren’t for his old age, Oliver would have surely blacklisted him.
And his surna is enough to make one nauseous. Old Strong? Neighbor Old Strong—sounds rotten and when looking at lody, he had a lecherous face. No way, later he must speak to the director, can’t let them act opposite each other, or else Old Strong might climb the wall.
Ignoring the neighbor Old Strong entirely, Oliver looked at lody coldly and asked, "What ti will you wrap up?"
"Well, that’s hard to say," lody smirked dismissively. Seeing her arrogant deanor, Oliver really wanted to drag her away and teach her a lesson.
Damned woman, when he proposed divorce she was desperate not to agree, and now, in a blink, she’s made him wear a green hat.
Watching lody and neighbor Old Strong heading toward the studio, Oliver had no choice but to follow reluctantly. lody’s scenes for today were extensive, luckily there were no intimate scenes, or else Oliver couldn’t guarantee he wouldn’t grab her on the spot, ending her acting career.
Sitting in the resting area waiting, but waiting until it was almost midnight, seeing the enthusiastic filming on the other side, Oliver couldn’t sit still. He got up and walked toward the director.
"Director Liu, when will lody’s scenes finish shooting? How about ending it today? People of age shouldn’t stay up late."
Seeing Director Liu looking at him inexplicably, Oliver quickly added, "How about this, I’ll cover the loss caused to the crew, or I can invest so."
Director Liu looked Oliver up and down once over, seeing his outfit and deanor, he didn’t seem like an ordinary person. Plus, lody’s entry into the crew had been pre-cleared by Nicholas Croft beforehand, hearing Oliver could invest, Director Liu agreed imdiately, after lody finished this scene, she would wrap up.
