After thanking the director, Oliver Shaw went back to the rest area to wait for lody Zachary to return. In fact, he didn’t know that this was already the last scene. Even if he didn’t promise to invest, they would still wrap up.
"Ms. Zachary, co here a mont." After the assistant director called cut, lody was called over by Director Liu.
"Director, what’s the matter? Were you not satisfied with my performance just now?" lody walked over with a humble smile and asked, "No, no, Ms. Zachary’s performance was excellent, more realistic than so seasoned actors." Director Liu quickly denied and then pointed to the man waiting in the rest area, "Ms. Zachary, may I ask who that gentleman visiting the set is?"
Glancing in Oliver Shaw’s direction, lody chuckled, "Ah, just a friend,"
"Ms. Zachary, you’re too modest," Liu smiled knowingly, "I think that gentleman is probably your admirer,"
lody opened her lips to deny, but before she could speak, she heard Director Liu continue, "He is very concerned about you, worried that staying up late might be bad for your health. He just ca over to greet and asked to let you go early for rest, and also promised to invest in our production,"
"Invest?" lody frowned in confusion, gesturing towards Oliver Shaw’s direction, and asked, "He said he wants to invest?"
"Yes, Ms. Zachary, it seems this gentleman cares a lot about you," Director Liu said with a smile, glancing again towards Oliver Shaw. lody didn’t say anything further. People say money makes people foolish; she thought Oliver Shaw was certainly one of them!
But if he’s willing to invest, then let him. After all, he has so much money.
With a chuckle, lody said, "Director, I don’t understand anything about investnts; you should talk to him yourself."
"Huh? Ms. Zachary, that gentleman ntioned investnt for your sake. We can have a late-night snack together later when we wrap up; that way, we can also talk about investnt."
With soone offering money, Director Liu wouldn’t let it slip by.

Originally didn’t want to get involved, but since the director said so, she couldn’t refuse. She smiled and said, "Okay," and as she turned to leave, she couldn’t help muttering sothing under her breath.
"lody, are you tired," Seeing lody coming over, Oliver Shaw hurried over, holding lody’s coat to drape it over her shoulders, but she unkindly pulled it over herself, "Not tired, I’m enjoying it!"
"That’s good," Oliver Shaw replied with a smile, walking behind lody. Having been taken care of by lody most of his life, it felt strange to suddenly be ignored like this.
"The director said you want to invest?" lody zipped up her coat as her assistant handed over a thermos cup, "Yes, just spending a bit of money to make you less tired." Oliver spoke truthfully, but lody did not appreciate it. She paused, about to drink so water, and looked at Oliver, loudly questioning, "Oliver Shaw, what are you to ? If I liked it, my son would help sort things out!"
"lody, don’t be so loud, there are so many people watching," Oliver, accustod to being on a pedestal, found it hard to be scolded in front of so many people. He stepped closer, attempting to hold her hand to soothe her, but didn’t dare because he could see lody’s obvious rejection.
"Hah!" lody sneered, turning around and handing the thermos back to her assistant, "You actually care about saving face!" If he cared about saving face, he wouldn’t have done such disgraceful things back then!
"lody, it was a mont of confusion, please let it go,"
lody picked up her bag and headed out of the set, "I’m not holding onto it; to tell you the truth, I’ve let it go a long ti ago!"
lody’s lack of resentnt should have delighted him. However, hearing her say she let it go, suddenly Oliver Shaw felt a pang of sadness.
