After seeing the doctor, Ethan Grant walked out of the hospital with a heavy heart.
The doctor hesitantly said that there were no abnormalities in Serena Sullivan’s body!
Ethan didn’t believe it.
He saw from the doctor’s evasive eyes that he was being deceived.
Later, after so persuasion and threats, the doctor tactfully advised Ethan to have Serena undergo surgery as soon as possible.
Ethan deeply sensed sothing was amiss in the doctor’s words. He stopped asking questions, now focusing on arranging Serena’s transfer abroad imdiately, without any delay!
Serena often fell into unconsciousness, and the doctor’s words told Ethan: her condition was very dire!
Ethan quickly arranged everything, standing at the hospital entrance and instructing Yvette Sterling to change flights, departing tonight.
He was preparing to pick up Serena at Willow Yarrow’s, when he saw a call coming in from Aunt Ann.
"Sir..."
Aunt Ann’s voice was choked with sobs; these two words made Ethan’s heart tremble, as he looked up to see an ambulance parked nearby.
The vehicle stopped, the door opened, and a nurse pushed a stretcher out.
Ethan didn’t recognize the person lying on it, but he saw Aunt Ann beside the vehicle.
"Madam is in the hospital."
Aunt Ann said, looking up to see Ethan walking swiftly toward her.
"Sir."
Ethan ignored Aunt Ann, lowering his head to see Serena lying on the stretcher. His heart contracted in pain, his breath catching in that mont.
"It’s nothing serious."
Aunt Ann reassured, "Madam’s neck was cut, but it’s just a superficial wound."
Aunt Ann assud that Serena had fainted from fright.
Ethan didn’t respond, following the nurse quickly into the hospital.
Once at the ER, nurses and doctors blocked Ethan from entering, leaving him waiting once again in the corridor for Serena inside.
And this ti, the feeling of panic ca even stronger.
Life or death, in just a split mont.
"Sir."
Aunt Ann ca over, telling Ethan about the events at The Sullivan Family.
Ethan leaned against the cold wall, listening.
Aunt Ann said, the more serious injury was with Claire Sullivan, not Serena.
But Ethan frequently glanced toward the surgery room, refusing to believe Aunt Ann’s words.
It’s unclear how long he waited, but the doctor ca out, and Serena was wheeled out right behind.
As Serena was taken into a room, Ethan watched from where he rested against the wall, neither following to the hospital room nor questioning the doctor.
The doctor was about to discuss Serena’s condition with Ethan, only to find him already gone.
While the doctor looked puzzled, Yvette stepped forward to talk to the doctor.
Ethan left the hospital building, sitting in the hospital park, where he smoked several cigarettes on a bench, lifting his head later to see the people he called had arrived.
Ethan had just phoned Finn Chandler, not ntioning Serena’s condition, only saying he was waiting in the hospital park.
Finn received the call while checking luggage.
In four hours, she would be leaving Solaria to pick up Serena at Willow Yarrow’s.
On hearing Ethan’s request to et at the hospital park, Finn was increasingly puzzled.
On her way, she called Serena, intending to inform her of Ethan’s eting request.
She dialed several tis, but no one answered.
Finn’s unease grew, from early morning her brows kept twitching, as if sothing was about to happen.
