This isn’t the first ti Claire Sullivan has seen the Young Master of the Sterling Family!
The first ti was over twenty years ago when he was in his arms. No, at that ti they were standing at the hospital door. She hadn’t clearly seen if that little face resembled Serena’s, and then Mr. Sterling took him away. That night was cold and windy, her vision blurred by tears, and all she could hear was the child’s cry.
This ti, seeing him clearly up close, Claire Sullivan stood frozen in place, desperately wanting to hold the Young Master’s face to see clearly. But her feet were too heavy, too heavy to move forward or step back.
"What are you looking for my dad for?"
Wyatt Sterling asked again.
At first, Wyatt Sterling didn’t recognize Claire Sullivan.
The last ti he saw Claire Sullivan at the entrance of the Sullivan Corporation, she was dressed glamorously, unlike now, soaked to the skin, looking like a madwoman in distress.
He noticed her staring at him without blinking, assuming it was because of his good looks that chard ladies from elderly won to little girls.
Wyatt Sterling’s question brought Claire Sullivan’s thoughts back. Compared to looking at the Young Master of the Sterling Family, finding Serena was more urgent. She took a step, perhaps standing for too long, or maybe her feet indeed felt like a thousand pounds, she stumbled forward.
Instinctively, Wyatt Sterling caught Claire Sullivan. She looked up at this face similar to Serena’s, and it pained her even more. She gripped his hand, sobbing, "Serena is missing."
"Quick, bring her back."
"Serena?"
Wyatt Sterling repeated Claire Sullivan’s words. Hearing the na, he thought of Serena Sullivan.
He didn’t know why, but he liked Serena, feeling sorry for the girl in the wheelchair.
"What happened to her?"
Wyatt Sterling then recognized her, "Claire Sullivan?"
Claire Sullivan’s face was full of tears, yet he could still recognize her!
Claire Sullivan didn’t answer Wyatt Sterling’s question. She continued, "Her legs are crippled, her health isn’t good. It must be very dangerous for her to be outside alone."
"Please quickly take people and search for her!"
Serena cannot have any mishaps, she just can’t!
A slightly unfamiliar woman holding his hand, asking him to help search for another.
This familiarity left Wyatt Sterling sowhat bewildered, yet he didn’t refuse.
Perhaps it was this woman’s pitiful crying, or maybe it was his affection for Serena. The re thought of sothing happening to Serena tore pain into his heart.
"Alright!"
Wyatt Sterling agreed imdiately.
With Wyatt Sterling’s promise, the tension in Claire Sullivan relaxed a bit. She looked up at the Young Master of the Sterling Family, smiling gently with her lips pressed together.
Wonderful! He’s willing to look for Serena!
As Wyatt Sterling prepared to go with Claire Sullivan to find Serena, although it was raining heavily outside, and he didn’t know how Serena went missing or what exactly happened.
Still, he wanted to follow Claire Sullivan out, to find her!
"Stop!"
A man’s cold voice ca through. Standing at the hotel entrance, Claire Sullivan turned around, the rain outside beginning to stop, but the wind still howled, chillingly cold!
Already drenched to the bone, facing the man’s cold gaze, she felt a shiver run through her, just like over twenty years ago. A pain, raw and tearing from within her heart, despair and sorrow!
Wyatt Sterling also turned around, seeing Mr. Sterling, Mrs. Sterling, and Felicity Sterling had all arrived, forming a confrontational stance against Claire Sullivan and Wyatt Sterling.
