Finn Chandler had ntioned his family to Serena Sullivan and Anna more than once. Each ti, she was afraid to say too much, fearing that one day, Serena and Anna would look at her with disdainful eyes.
In fact, she was the daughter of Mr. Chambers’s mistress. Her mother made her disguise herself as a man to climb the social ranks, and her mother was an extrely selfish woman!
Her phone rang, and leaning against the steering wheel, Finn Chandler wiped away the tears that had fallen and looked at the number displayed, but didn’t answer.
After a while, the ringing stopped. Finn Chandler took a deep breath, cald her emotions, and called Julian Ford back.
To make her perform well as Young Master Chambers, Mrs. Chambers had even hired a teacher to teach her how to change her voice.
When acting as Young Master Chambers, her voice was low and indifferent, and she kept her words to a minimum on usual days.
She always believed she was cold and didn’t like to talk.
But actually, that wasn’t true!
"Honey, are you thinking of again? I just took a bath!"
On the other end, as the call connected, Finn Chandler’s voice beca flirtatious, and those sweet words kept surfacing in her mind.
Initially learned from the internet, she gradually beca natural at speaking to Julian Ford.
Coldness and fewer words were not Finn Chandler’s nature.
She should be fiery and enthusiastic, loving to have long phone calls with her beloved man, enjoying saying lots of "I like you" to Julian Ford.
Finn Chandler chatted happily, and the person on the line gave her a new beginning—because Julian Ford’s soft voice quickly healed the mood ruined by Mrs. Chambers.
As long as a person opens their heart, it’s easy to fall in love with another.
The start between her and Julian Ford wasn’t long, yet it sparked thoughts that would last a lifeti.
"Good night! I love you!"
At the end of the call, she told Julian Ford.
After hanging up, she tossed her phone aside, deciding not to let Mrs. Chambers control her life anymore, even if this life was given by her mother, even if they were the closest family.
She wanted to live for herself, she wanted to live a normal life.
Finn Chandler left, giving Ethan Grant a chance to be alone with Serena Sullivan.
"Mrs. Chambers wants Finn Chandler and you..."
Ethan Grant arrived late and guessed sowhat of the situation.
"Yes!"
Serena Sullivan replied, not wanting to discuss Mrs. Chambers.
Whatever Mrs. Chambers did, it was Finn Chandler’s issue.
Whatever help Finn Chandler needed, Serena Sullivan would certainly assist, but Mrs. Chambers’ issues—those were Finn Chandler’s own to handle.
Ethan Grant noticed that Serena Sullivan didn’t want to talk about it, so wisely, he changed the topic.
Although he felt a bit jealous of Finn Chandler, when Serena Sullivan added food to his bowl, his heart felt sweet, leaving no hint of sourness.
After dinner, Ethan Grant drove Serena Sullivan back to Deepwood.
Like before, he carried Serena Sullivan out of the car and gently placed her in the wheelchair.
"I hate to let you go inside."
At the entrance of Deepwood, Ethan Grant stopped, not pushing her forward.
Serena Sullivan saw a car parked at the entrance.
Did they have guests?
"Serena!"
Seeing Serena Sullivan ignoring him, Ethan Grant called unhappily.
"Yeah!"
Serena Sullivan replied, noticing a shadow casting over her, and when she looked up, she saw Ethan Grant walking from behind her to stand in front.
"Serena, I hate to let you go."
He really wanted to take Serena Sullivan back to the hotel and hold her in his arms as he slept.
"Yeah."
Serena Sullivan smiled with her lips pursed, and Ethan Grant wasn’t satisfied with her response.
"Serena."
He softened his voice to call again, crouching on one knee before Serena Sullivan, "How about I co in with you?"
