At the Dowager Kane’s place, every ti she went there, she would be chastised hundreds of tis, being told she was unfilial, that she was no real kin to them, and that the food at Jas Sterling’s place was no good, making her lose weight.
After the incident of apologizing at the hospital, Serena Sullivan knew that the Dowager Kane was the type who was harsh on the outside but soft on the inside.
In fact, she liked Serena but didn’t know how to earn her forgiveness due to past events.
In the morning, as she was just starting work, she received a call from the old master.
First Mrs. Sterling was free today and accompanied Serena going over.

Serena shook her head, "I promised Grandpa."
Besides, she wasn’t afraid of Mrs. Sterling; it should be Mrs. Sterling who was uneasy upon seeing her.
First Mrs. Sterling nodded, thinking she would be there too, and wouldn’t let Serena be wronged. She wouldn’t allow Mrs. Sterling to mock Serena today.
The two of them went inside. Butler Lowell, along with the servants, stood outside. Seeing this arrangent, it was clear absolutely more than just Mrs. Sterling had co.
"Good day, madam, and young mistress."
Butler Lowell approached, greeting them with a smile, "The Dowager Kane has arrived."
"No wonder!"
First Mrs. Sterling smiled, understanding why there needed to be so many servants waiting outside.
The car accident incident had passed for so long; surely the Dowager Kane wasn’t so well that she’d co just to bla Serena, right?
Asking Nancy to bow her head? Not a chance.
First Mrs. Sterling sneered slightly and led Serena to the hallway.
Before they entered, they heard the Dowager Kane’s laughter from inside.
Judging by the laughter, the Dowager Kane was in a good mood.
First Mrs. Sterling knew this old woman well, as soone petty and vindictive.
Serena’s background lay bare; how could she not ntion it to the old master again?
"My grandson insists on taking a picture of that Guanyin, saying it resembles ."
The excited voice of the Dowager Kane ca from inside, and First Mrs. Sterling listened with a derisive snort.
Resemble Guanyin? That’s an insult to the Guanyin statue!
"Filial! He truly is filial."
"With such a filial grandson, Madam Kane is truly blessed." The First Mrs. Sterling echoed her reply.
The First Mrs. Sterling was astute, adept at putting on a facade, rarely revealing her true thoughts easily.
"Indeed."
The Dowager Kane responded, "I have only one grandson, so I haven’t hurried to find him a match over the years."
It’s not that she didn’t help him date; it’s that Wayne Jennings simply didn’t need it.
He had plenty of won to play with outside, and no decent noble family dared to throw their daughters into the fire.
However, why was the Dowager Kane bringing up Young Master Kane’s affairs now! First Mrs. Sterling suddenly had a bad premonition.
"Originally, I thought he should marry later—a man’s ho should be his business."
Madam Kane was quite skilled at lying with her eyes open; the Ford family got where they were today thanks not to Young Master Kane but to Simon Sterling being their son-in-law and the stocks from The Sterling Family.

The Dowager Kane finally got to the crux of the matter after talking in circles for so long.
Mrs. Sterling, sitting beside her, cooperated by asking, "Mom, which young lady has captured your satisfaction?"

By the ti these words were spoken, both the old master and the First Mrs. Sterling had realized.
