"Mrs. Sterling, who do you think I’m referring to?"
The Dowager Kane was very sly, not specifying, wanting Mrs. Sterling to say it herself.
Mrs. Sterling smiled, "How would I know who? Felicity and Wayne are cousins, and as for Nancy, she’s already married to Ethan Grant."
"Who are you referring to, Dowager Kane!"
The topic was thrown back again, and outside, Serena Sullivan was sowhat impressed by Mrs. Sterling’s ability to talk.
"Nancy." First Mrs. Sterling turned her head worriedly to look at Serena, Serena smiled, "Let’s keep listening."
She wanted to know, how shaless the Ford Family could be.
"Has Nancy Sterling married Mr. Grant?"
"Why do I hear that the two of them only had a wedding, and at that wedding, Mr. Grant married her stepsister; she was just a stand-in."
"Mr. Grant doesn’t genuinely care about Nancy, don’t be fooled."
Madam Kane even changed her way of addressing Serena.
"Ha ha!"
Mrs. Sterling chuckled dryly, forcing two laughs.
"Mom, are you intending to introduce Nancy to Wayne?"
Mrs. Sterling couldn’t hold back, as Mrs. Sterling hadn’t responded, and directly revealed the matter.
The Dowager Kane chuckled, her face wrinkles squeezed together, eyes filled with coldness.
When Mrs. Sterling suggested that Serena should marry Wayne Jennings, she opposed.
A cripple and a bastard, where did they get the right to be worthy of their Wayne?
Mrs. Sterling said, it’s not about truly bringing Serena to The Sterling Family to worship, it’s about grabbing and torturing her as they wish.
The Dowager Kane found it reasonable and asked Wayne Jennings’ opinion.
Upon hearing he was to marry a cripple, and knowing it was Serena, Wayne Jennings was not only not opposed but also excited, urging The Dowager Kane to co propose today.
The Dowager Kane saw her grandson liked her and took the ti today to bring Mrs. Sterling along to discuss this matter.
Mrs. Sterling hadn’t ntioned it to Simon Sterling, intending to approach it via Mr. and Mrs. Sterling, using pressure, threats, or enticents to settle Serena’s and Wayne Jennings’ matter.
"You’re really clever!"
The Dowager Kane took Mrs. Sterling’s words, joyfully said, "I ca today to propose marriage for our Wayne."
She spoke clearly, looking at Mr. and Mrs. Sterling, asking,
"It’s a good thing to marry into the family."
"Madam Kane..."
The smile on Mrs. Sterling’s face was noticeably unnatural; everyone knew what kind of person Wayne Jennings was.
The Dowager Kane dared to propose, and they were even more aware of her intentions.
"In-laws, what’s your view!"
Not giving Mrs. Sterling a chance to speak, The Dowager Kane directly continued, "You shouldn’t have objections; let’s settle it this way!"
Her words landed, and Mr. Sterling, holding his cane tightly, was about to get angry when First Mrs. Sterling’s furious voice ca from outside.
First Mrs. Sterling couldn’t stand listening at the door, knowing Mr. and Mrs. Sterling couldn’t afford to tear face with The Ford Family directly, she dared!
"What kind of people are they, thinking they’re worthy of our Nancy."
She pushed Serena in, her face ominously dark, turning her head to glare at The Dowager Kane, especially Mrs. Sterling, wishing the light in her eyes could turn into daggers and stab them through.
Mrs. Sterling was truly cruel, inciting her own mother to co and marry Nancy to Wayne Jennings.
"You!"
First Mrs. Sterling’s words infuriated The Dowager Kane, her expression changed, as she couldn’t stand anyone speaking ill of Wayne Jennings.
