Shane doesn’t know much about Chloe’s character or her relationship with Vincent.

But as long as soone is related to Vincent, he remains vigilant.

So when Audrey Sutton and Chloe were chatting, he didn’t join their girl talk, but while standing by the window making a phone call, his gaze kept falling on Audrey Sutton.

It seed she had a personality that was quite good at making friends, able to chat with anyone for a while.

Once the boarding announcent ca over the speakers, Shane hung up and called for Audrey Sutton.

On the plane, although Chloe was in first class with them, there was a considerable distance between their seats.

Audrey felt that Chloe seed a bit lonely and wanted to keep her company, but being romantically inclined, she preferred to stay by Shane’s side.

At least when she slept later, she could snuggle up to him.

However, staying next to Shane was quite dull; he didn’t engage her in conversation and enjoyed reading a newspaper from the mont he got on the plane.

Audrey leaned over to take a peek at the newspaper, filled with dense text. Was it more interesting than her?

Shane glanced at her sideways and gently reminded her, "There’s another copy next to you."

Audrey pouted, "I don’t want it. I’m just curious about what you’re reading."

She sulkily sat back up, looking around out of boredom, then started swiping the screen in front of her, searching for TV shows to watch.

She couldn’t focus at all, wondering how Shane managed to concentrate on a newspaper with such intensity.

After so thought, Audrey initiated a topic, saying to him, "Do you know what Chloe and I talked about just now?"

Shane’s gaze remained on the newspaper, lazily and hoarsely asking, "What?"

Feeling dissatisfied that he only looked at the newspaper and not her, Audrey simply reached out to take the newspaper from his hand, folded it, and stuffed it beside her seat, then turned to him and said, "She said she wants to divorce Vincent."

"And then?" Shane seed unsurprised, more like he didn’t care about such matters.

Audrey thought he considered Vincent sowhat a rival, and that Vincent and Chloe’s marriage was clearly a business alliance for mutual benefit. She expected Shane to react, but his expression remained calm.

Whether he hid his true feelings well or genuinely didn’t care, Audrey continued with the conversation since she had finally found a topic, "It seems their relationship was never good since they got married, and I heard Vincent keeps a mistress outside, even spent the New Year with her."

Shane didn’t react, but his eyes were focused on Audrey, showing he was listening intently to her.

"She’s quite pitiable. A woman’s youth is the most valuable, regardless of the marriage’s origin, yet she wasted her pri years on this marriage and couldn’t earn her husband’s love, enduring silently despite knowing he has another woman. No wonder she considered divorce despite liking Vincent."

Shane teased, "So you should be satisfied; at least I haven’t made you suffer like this."

Audrey smiled, feeling lucky and happy compared to Chloe.

But then she withdrew her smile, probing Shane, "Have you secretly kept any woman outside?"

Shane replied, "With people checking up frequently, now even following closely, do you think I could hide a woman outside?"

"So you’re saying you want to, but my monitoring prevents you from doing so?"

Shane smiled at her, "Do you think I’d keep a woman I fancy hidden as a mistress to let her suffer?"

Audrey frowned, pondering, realizing the logic made sense. If Shane liked soone, he wouldn’t keep her a secret.

But then she felt sothing was off, suggesting that if he t soone breathtaking one day, he might divorce her without hesitation and hold a grand wedding for the new woman, announcing to the world that he loved her.

And she would beco the divorced woman, crying in the shadows, laughed at by everyone...

Imagining such scenes, Audrey was startled.

No, she had to speed up pursuing him and stop any potential romantic interests around him, nipping them in the bud!

Shane observed her rich expressions, gently tapped her head, and teased, "Imagining stories in your tea-filled brain again?"

Audrey frowned, giving him a sidelong glance, naturally not revealing her scary thoughts.

Just then, a pretty stewardess approached, offering beverages with a smile. Seeing they were Asian, she used Chinese to ask, "Sir, madam, we have juice, tea, coffee, and red wine. What would you like?"

Shane glanced at Audrey and decided for her, "One juice and one red wine, please."

"Certainly, sir."

Audrey wasn’t focused on the drinks but rather on the stewardess, feeling her gaze at Shane seed off.

She had seen many TV shows, novels, and comics, where beautiful stewardesses et handso CEOs, and such ideas popped into her mind.

Though serving drinks for two, the stewardess only engaged with Shane, her smile a tad too sweet, hinting at being slightly pretentious.

"This is a special brew from Apex Manor, more fragrant and sweet than regular red wine, sir. You can try it, and it’s not intoxicating at all, so feel free to refill," she said.

Hearing "Apex Manor," Audrey instinctively twitched the corners of her mouth.

Shane only responded politely, "Okay, thank you."

The stewardess deliberately slowed down the wine pouring, seemingly to linger, "We once had a passenger who only flew with us to taste this wine."

Shane nodded slightly but didn’t continue the conversation.

After pouring the wine, the stewardess handed the glass to Shane, smiling, "Sir, please try it."

She then took another glass to pour juice for Audrey.

Watching Shane take a sip, the stewardess imdiately asked with a smile, "Sir, how do you find the taste?"

Seeing the slightly off-expression on Audrey’s face, Shane smiled and nodded, "Mm, it’s quite nice."

He wouldn’t dare criticize anything from The Suttons in front of Audrey. Besides, the taste was indeed very good.
