A little after five, the sky was ominously overcast.

Shane Warner, having finished his business, rushed back to the hotel without delay.

He pushed open the door and walked to the big bed. Watching Audrey Sutton sleeping peacefully, his eyebrows and eyes softened, and he sat gently on the edge of the bed with a faint smile.

He was reluctant to wake her, but worried she’d be restless if she slept through the afternoon and found it hard to sleep at night. It was also ti for dinner.

He reached out and gently pulled down the blanket a little, exposing her entire face.

Shane didn’t call out to her directly. Instead, he pinched her face gently. Feeling the discomfort, she frowned in displeasure, pouting slightly as she turned her head.

As he stared at her pouted lips, sothing tugged at Shane’s heart. Unable to resist, he leaned down and captured her cherry-red lips, devouring them...

Audrey gradually awoke in the sensation of suffocation. She opened her eyes to see his magnified face in front of her, but she wasn’t startled because he was the man she always kept in her mind.

Even though she was kissed unexpectedly, Audrey didn’t resist. She looked sleepily at him, still unsure if she had truly woken up or was still dreaming.

"Awake?" Shane asked, pulling back a bit and looking at her, still a little dazed from just waking.

Her eyes, still sleepy, were intensely dark and stared directly at him. Her lips, kissed monts ago, looked lustrous and even more tempting.

Seeing her lay there lazily, as if not wanting to move even a bit, all his days of longing for her seed to morph into so unknown emotion surging through his body. After a few seconds of eye contact, Shane reached out to pull down the blanket, exposing half of her body and quickly pushing up the hem of her sweater...

Audrey, realizing what was happening, opened her mouth to say sothing, but before she could utter a sound, he covered her mouth again.

Gone was his usual calm and rational deanor. Like a hungry beast that had captured the little white rabbit that stumbled into its cage, he was desperately wanting to devour the rabbit whole.

Outside, the sky was a gray-blue hue, and amidst the rolling thunder, the rain began to fall lightly.

The sound of the rain wasn’t noisy; instead, it seed to quieten the city, as only the rustling of the rain could be heard.

The streetlights lit up the dark night on ti, illuminating the street, and their reflections on the wet ground shimred.

It wasn’t until past seven that Shane got up, picked up the robe he had placed by the bed to wrap Audrey, and brought her, nearly limp, off the bed and toward the bathroom.

Soon, as she soaked in the hot water, Audrey gradually regained her strength. Leaning against Shane, she played with the white bubbles on the surface of the bath and mumbled, "You never use a condom, and taking too many birth control pills is bad for ."

Shane, who was pretending to nap with his eyes closed, opened them imdiately, frowned, and looked down at her, "Are you taking them?"

"What else? Wouldn’t it be more troubleso to go to the hospital for an abortion if I got pregnant?"

"If you get pregnant, just have the baby. Who would take you to the hospital for an abortion? Didn’t you say you wanted kids before?"

Audrey blew on her eyebrows and murmured, "But you didn’t agree at the ti. What if you didn’t want them?"

Shane sat up slowly, picked up the showerhead beside them, and while washing the bubbles off her back, said, "I was worried about affecting your studies. My classmates’ kids are already in primary school. Do you think I don’t want kids?"

Hearing what he said, Audrey smiled, turned her head to look at him, and said, "Actually, I’m almost in my senior year. We mostly intern outside and don’t have many classes."

"Go back and throw away those ssy pills!"

Audrey counted on her fingers, "I’ve only taken them three tis."

Shane grabbed her hand and leaned into her back, "No next ti."

Audrey smiled, took the showerhead from his hand, and turned around to help him rinse off the bubbles on his body.

In truth, she thought it would be improper to attend school pregnant, but she believed a child would bring her more security.

By then, not only would she and he be husband and wife, but also parents to the child. Having a baby could bring more happiness to their lives, right?

Besides, he’d already added a lot of children’s items at ho, and now that his mom’s feelings were more stable, it’s ti to have a child.

Audrey spent the weekend with Shane. On Sunday evening, after dinner, she had an eight o’clock high-speed train ticket to go ho.

Shane’s return flight was originally booked for Monday morning. He hadn’t expected Audrey to co over, so he changed his return ti at the last minute.

Audrey wanted to take the high-speed train with him, to enjoy the journey, so Shane canceled his flight and bought a train ticket instead.

Audrey sat by the window, Shane next to her. She leaned her phone towards Shane, showing a full page of nas on the screen, with a naming website’s logo at the top.

"Honey, what na do you think would be good for the child?"

Shane glanced at her phone screen but didn’t look closely. He just said, "You want to run before you can walk? We just talked about having kids, and you’re already thinking about nas."

"We have to na it eventually, and the na is important. Isn’t it good to start thinking about it now?"

She always felt that a na could touch a person’s heart, like when she first learned his na was "Shane Warner." Just seeing that na made her heart race, and later, even one of those three characters would remind her of him.

"I’ll think about it when I have ti," Shane said lightly.

Audrey put away her phone, smiled, and asked him, "Who nad you?"

"My grandpa."

"That’s a nice na."

Shane smiled and glanced at her, "I think your na is nice, too."

Audrey’s smile deepened, "You’ve improved, knowing how to reciprocate complints. Before, when I praised you, you always criticized ."

Shane: "Saying your na is nice is a complint to you? I’m praising the one who nad you."

Audrey pursed her lips, then said, "Oh, right, maybe I’ll ask my mom. She’s quite good at naming. We can think of several, and then choose later."

Shane looked down at her belly, "Let’s talk about it when you’re pregnant. Ten months is enough ti for you to ponder."

Audrey stared out the window thoughtfully, then couldn’t help but smile foolishly, as if thinking about the arrival of a baby made her incredibly happy.

There was excitent along with a bit of unease because she had no experience in this area and had never seriously looked into it before.

Honestly, before she appeared at Shane’s wedding, she’d always thought she wouldn’t get married until after twenty-five and wouldn’t get pregnant until at least twenty-seven. All of this now completely disrupted her life plans.
