There were no statents from any of the parties involved in the news; everything was information leaked by dia accounts.

Later, a dedicated lawyer from the Warner responded, saying: It is true, a peaceful divorce.

Audrey Sutton was curious in her heart about who filed for the divorce, when coincidentally Chloe Swift sent her a ssage: Audrey, are you ho?

Audrey Sutton imdiately replied: Yes.

Chloe Swift: I want to co over and chat with you. Could you send your ho address?

Audrey Sutton also knew that Chloe Swift’s mood must not be very good at the mont.

Chloe Swift seed to have no one else to confide in and would co to her every ti she had sothing to share. So Audrey sent her the location.

She also imdiately got up and tidied herself up, washed up and went downstairs. Just as she took breakfast out of the microwave, she heard a car stopping outside the house.

Audrey Sutton went to open the door and saw Chloe Swift getting out of the car.

She seed much calr than Audrey had imagined; Audrey thought Chloe would co crying.

"Clarissa, co in and have a seat."

Chloe Swift smiled apologetically: "I won’t be disturbing you, will I?"

Audrey Sutton shook her head, took out a pair of clean slippers from the cabinet, handed them to Chloe Swift, and said with a smile: "My husband has gone to work, it’s just at ho, I just woke up."

Chloe Swift smiled, but the smile was clearly forced. She lowered her head to change into the slippers and followed Audrey into the house.

"What would you like to drink? Tea or juice?"

Chloe Swift pursed her lips and said: "Do you have any alcohol?"

Audrey Sutton was stunned for a mont, then laughed and said: "We have wine, I’ll get it."

"Thank you."

Audrey Sutton went to Shane Warner’s wine cabinet, randomly picked a bottle, took out two wine glasses, sat by the coffee table, and after so effort, popped the cork.

After pouring wine into both glasses, Audrey handed one to Chloe and then asked: "...Is the news true?"

Chloe Swift reaching out to take it, first softly said "Thank you," took a sip of the wine, and then answered: "I just ca from the civil affairs bureau, I completed the divorce paperwork this morning."

Audrey Sutton pressed her lips together, hesitating to speak; she had a lot of curiosity but was afraid of accidentally touching Chloe’s sore spot.

She cut the blueberry bread into pieces, and handed one to Clarissa Morgan: "Did you have breakfast? Want to eat so together?"

Chloe Swift lightly laughed and shook her head: "No, thank you."

Chloe Swift’s gaze fell on a baby cradle in the corner, paused for a mont, and surprise flashed in her eyes as she looked at Audrey’s belly and asked: "Are you expecting a baby?"

Audrey realized why Chloe was asking this and quickly explained: "No, it’s just sothing he bought during the last renovation, thinking it might co in handy in the future."

Chloe Swift’s eyes were full of envy, and her smile was slightly bitter: "You two are really happy."

Audrey held Chloe’s hand, saying: "Clarissa, I think you’re a really great person. You’ll certainly find your own happiness in the future."

Chloe Swift lowered her eyes and took another sip of wine, saying: "Actually, on the day I married Vincent, I thought I had found my happiness."

Previously, during their conversations, Chloe had told Audrey that she had liked Vincent Warner for a long ti, even longer than Audrey had known Shane Warner, so Audrey could truly empathize with Chloe’s feelings.

Whenever she thought about the possibility of divorcing Shane Warner, Audrey felt very upset inside, so she knew that Chloe’s current calmness was probably just her trying hard to keep her emotions from collapsing.

"Vincent and I have known each other since we were young, it’s just that I was too timid and never told him that I liked him. Recently, I often wonder if I had been brave enough to pursue him earlier, before he t Stella Charlie, would he have fallen in love with instead."

Audrey just quietly listened, not knowing how to comfort her.

What happened would be hard for anyone to bear, but love was one of those things that even when you love and give it your all, you might not always get the result you want.

Chloe Swift finished her wine in just a few sips and poured more for herself: "Initially, I thought that, over ti, he would gradually accept once he got to know better. Later, I realized that his entire heart was filled with Stella Charlie. Can you imagine how much it hurt when he would co ho drunk, hold , and call for ’Stella’?"

Chloe Swift mocked herself with a laugh: "I only found out about that girl’s existence through his words. Later, I learned that her family background was poor and she had a bad reputation. Vincent’s mom didn’t approve of them being together, so they eventually had to separate. I stepped in at this ti; he probably thought of as the villain who tore them apart."

Audrey Sutton rembered the last ti she went to Serephina and saw that girl, who seed quite charismatic and powerful. She didn’t know about her reputation, but Audrey had admired a girl like that at the ti.

Chloe Swift continued drinking wine on her own while talking: "Later, I thought I might as well live with him like this forever. After all, his parents wouldn’t allow him to divorce , so as long as I didn’t let go, I could maintain the title of wife forever."

"I also thought I could endure it forever."

"...But eventually I realized that it was truly too painful. I was diagnosed with depression and started receiving therapy. The doctor suggested I get a divorce, and I hesitated for a long ti."

"Audrey, do you know how much I’m suffering?" Chloe put down her wine glass and began to cry, burying her head in her hands.

Seeing this, Audrey felt distressed and quickly sat beside Chloe, gently patting her back.

Chloe choked on her words: "I really can’t take it anymore... I can’t sleep at night without sleeping pills, I feel so dark and suffocated every day. anwhile, he’s still indifferent to , never caring, and has probably spoken fewer words to than I can count on one hand. I can’t help thinking that if we were just ordinary friends, he wouldn’t be so cold to ."

"...Clarissa, if it’s not right for you, let go early and start a new life; everything will get better eventually." Audrey knew that these words were easier said than done.

But she felt that if she were in such a situation, just like when Shane Warner hadn’t given her any response for a long ti, and her love had worn her out, even if she still loved him inside yet knew it was hopeless, she would choose to let go and hide the hurt, then start a new life.

Audrey felt that if she were Chloe Swift, she would’ve opted for a divorce long ago. After all, Vincent Warner had never really looked at Chloe from the beginning to the end.
