Stephen didn’t answer Phoebe King’s question, simply looked ahead and walked quickly.

Phoebe King hurried to keep up with his pace, stepping in her high heels: "Want to watch a movie this afternoon? It’s on ."

Stephen: "I don’t watch movies."

Phoebe: "Then what do you usually do?"

Stephen didn’t respond.

Phoebe guessed: "Play sports? Badminton?"

Seeing no reaction, Phoebe tried again: "Basketball?"

"Tennis?"

"Table tennis..."

"I don’t play sports."

Phoebe was a little surprised, but as long as he talked to her, she felt happy: "Then what do you usually do? You don’t just read books, do you?"

"Why are you asking so much? I’m going back to school, don’t follow ."

"I’m going back to school too. I have sothing to discuss with you."

Stephen didn’t want to pay attention to her, so he sped up to try to shake her off, but he was blocked by a red light at the crosswalk.

Phoebe jogged to his side and said: "The lease for my apartnt ended, the landlord returned from abroad and wants to live there himself, so he won’t renew my lease."

Stephen stared at the traffic light across the street, his tone indifferent: "Why are you telling this?"

Phoebe: "I want to rent your apartnt."

After saying this, she watched for Stephen’s reaction.

No real reaction, no words or any noticeable change in expression.

Phoebe continued: "Anyway, you don’t often stay there, plus there are extra rooms. Leaving them empty is pointless, might as well earn a bit. What do you say, Teacher Sutton?"

"Not renting," Stephen said, counting down the red light and stepping across the street.

Phoebe hurried to catch up: "Teacher Sutton, would you bear to see a frail girl wandering the streets?"

Stephen sneered, "You? A frail girl?"

Phoebe nodded earnestly: "You have a misunderstanding. You don’t want to get to know the real ."

"Stop following . Instead of pestering here, spend so ti finding a suitable apartnt."

After crossing the street, Phoebe stopped and didn’t follow him, afraid she might really annoy him. She watched him walk into the school.

Stephen glanced back once inside the school, thinking she would shalessly follow him in, insisting on renting his apartnt.

Apparently, she must have been discouraged from that initial persistent spirit.

Yet, Stephen still misunderstands Phoebe. She’s not soone who gives up easily.

Phoebe felt Stephen’s words had enlightened her.

She took a taxi back to the hotel, lay on the bed, and opened the campus forum, browsing rental listings.

Many teachers at this faculty housing don’t live here; instead, they choose to rent out their apartnts to students, so there are quite a few rental posts.

Phoebe filtered through the listings for Stephen’s building, extracted the info, and contacted the posters to inquire about the exact floor.

Luck favors the prepared, as Phoebe actually found an apartnt for rent on the sa floor as Stephen’s, although it’s a shared rental.

Phoebe recalled the layout of that floor, roughly calculated it, and it seed like the apartnt across from Stephen’s.

Thus, Phoebe didn’t care about the housing conditions anymore; she directly contacted the poster and booked the apartnt.

She checked out of the hotel, packed her stuff at the previous rental before noon, and realized just how much she had. She called Mor to co help after work and move her belongings.

Why call Mor? Because he’s easygoing, unlike Luc and Faye, who you have to beg for help like asking a deity.

Lucian Quinn got off work after five and drove straight over, easily lugging two large boxes into the car, arranging them in the trunk while asking Phoebe: "Planning on staying here permanently?"

Phoebe boldly said: "I plan to marry here."

Lucian chuckled, slightly mocking, as if saying who’s going to marry Phoebe here?

Phoebe clearly sensed this, glared at him: "Looking down on ?"

Lucian: "I’m afraid others might look down on you."

Phoebe frowned at Lucian: "You’re not Mor, are you? You’re Morgan Quinn pretending, your words are so unpleasant."

Saying this, Phoebe checked Lucian’s ears, ensuring there were no piercings; it was indeed Mor.

Lucian urged her with a smile: "Get in the car, I have to accompany Shane to a dinner later."

By the ti the car arrived at the school, it was almost six.

Flora Lane stood at the bus stop, holding her phone while looking around, as if searching for soone.

Lucian saw her from afar, slowed down intending to greet her, but before reaching her, a man in a loose-fitting casual shirt walked up to her.

Watching the man reach up to touch her head, they must be a couple.

Phoebe played on her phone without noticing Lucian slowing down.

Lucian dismissed the idea of greeting Flora, returned the car to its original speed, glanced in the rearview mirror, and saw the couple hand in hand walking into a nearby Japanese restaurant.

Five or six minutes later, the car stopped at the faculty apartnts.

At that mont, Lucian received a call from Shane Warner, so after helping Phoebe carry her luggage up, he left.

The door was opened by a boy, estimating at around 190cm tall, wearing a white T-shirt and light jeans, with popular curled hair, wearing round tal fra glasses; he looked clean and neat.

Upon seeing Phoebe, he greeted warmly: "You must be the junior? I’m the one who posted the rental ad online."

Phoebe jokingly replied: "Old auntie here, not a junior."

"I don’t believe it, at most second year. Don’t stand at the door, co in." The boy was quite gentlemanly, bending over to lift the two boxes she had beside her into the room.

Phoebe sighed, young people are indeed full of energy, doing tough work spiritedly.

"Two rooms are available, both with balconies and private bathrooms. Choose the one you like."

Phoebe looked around inside; the room was sparse, just a 1.2-ter bed, a small wardrobe, a desk, and a chair.

Both rooms had similar layouts, only facing different directions. Phoebe surprisingly found one room’s balcony could overlook Stephen’s place, so she chose that room right away.

The landlord briefly discussed rental details with her and chatted casually. Around seven, he left for the library with his textbooks.
