A professional woman wearing glasses ca towards her, looking very poised, suggesting she might have so kind of status here. Audrey Sutton stepped forward to inquire, "Hello, sorry to bother you, I wanted to ask where President Keating is located?"
The woman glanced at Audrey Sutton, noticing that she wasn’t wearing a work badge and was dressed in a simple floral dress, implying she wasn’t a staff mber. She replied to Audrey a bit impatiently, "Who are you? Why are you looking for President Keating?"
"Oh... I want to discuss sothing with him."
The woman: "Do you have an appointnt? Wouldn’t it be easier to just call him directly? Why co here to ask? We’re very busy."
After saying this, the woman turned on her heels, preparing to leave. But suddenly, she heard a commotion coming from the direction of the elevator.
Audrey Sutton hadn’t reacted yet when she saw the previously disdainful woman suddenly beam, her high heels clicking towards the elevator.
Audrey was puzzled, and turned towards the elevator, where a group of seven or eight people gathered. The only person she recognized was Lucian Quinn.
What was he doing here? Surrounded by the crowd, the commotion was evidently due to Lucian’s arrival.
Although Lucian Quinn was Shane Warner’s friend, he was usually very low-key and seldom appeared in public. Reasonably, not many people should have recognized him.
Feeling curious, Audrey began walking in that direction.
Lucian noticed her and imdiately approached, "Audrey? What are you doing here?"
Before Audrey could answer, the woman who had just talked to her interjected, "Boss, this girl said she ca to find President Keating, but she doesn’t have an appointnt or anything. No idea who she is."
Lucian seed displeased with the woman’s slightly disrespectful tone, giving her a cold glance. He introduced Audrey calmly, "My sister-in-law, Third Young Mistress of The Warner family. Does she need an appointnt?"
Upon hearing Lucian’s introduction, the people around them paused in surprise, and the woman’s expression changed imdiately, "Oh... it’s the Third Young Mistress, my poor eyesight! I’m truly sorry, please don’t hold it against ."
Audrey wasn’t the type to hold a grudge. She wasn’t here to cause trouble. She gently pulled Lucian aside and asked, "Mor, why are you here?"
Lucian chuckled, leading her forward, "Let’s go inside and chat."
Audrey followed Lucian into the company’s in-house café set up for entertaining guests. They found a booth and sat down.
Lucian handed Audrey the nu and said gently, "See what you’d like to drink."
Audrey, trying not to be indulgent, eyed the enticing cool drinks on the nu, but ultimately chose a glass of room temperature freshly squeezed mango juice.
"Mor, are you handling so business here?" Audrey asked, recalling how the woman had called him boss, uncertain if it was rely a polite address.
Lucian ordered a coffee, handed the nu back to the staff, and answered Audrey with a smile, "I acquired this company recently. Just had so free ti today to co for a look, didn’t expect to bump into you. You ca with Flora, right?"
Audrey didn’t know if Lucian acquiring the company was related to Flora, but from his words, he seed quite aware of Flora’s whereabouts and plans, suggesting he does privately care about Flora’s matters.
However, now wasn’t the ti for gossip. Seeing as Lucian was the boss of this company, it made her inquiry about soone much easier. Without beating around the bush, she directly said, "I did co with Flora. She’s in the recording studio now. I actually ca for sothing else. Mor, I wanted to ask if there’s anyone here with the surna Keating? I heard people calling him President Keating."
"The surna Keating? Phillip Keating?"
Audrey imdiately beca excited, "You know him?"
Lucian nodded, "He’s a friend. After I acquired the company, I arranged for him to work here. Not sure if he’s the one you’re looking for."
Audrey was taken aback, "He’s your friend?"
Lucian: "Not particularly close, just so business dealings when we were abroad. He’s Shane’s brother’s forr classmate. We happened to et so days ago, and he just returned to the country, saying he hadn’t found a suitable job yet, so I placed him here."
Upon hearing this, Audrey felt a lot of information clicked into place since this person was Sean Warner’s forr classmate. "Is he in the company now? I’d like to et him."
Lucian shook his head, "He’s out of town for business, returning in a couple of days."
Audrey was eager to et him. As for the investigation her second brother was conducting, she had no clue where to start. She wondered if she could discover anything through this person nad Phillip Keating.
Even if she didn’t find what she was looking for, she needed to figure out why he used those lies to fra her brother. What was his motive? Or perhaps, who was the one behind him instructing all of this?
Audrey gathered so information about Phillip Keating from Lucian, learning that Phillip had previous connections with Faye Xavier and Lan Irving. She was basically confident that her intuition was correct, and Phillip Keating was indeed the person she was looking for.
However, she couldn’t act hastily at the mont. Phillip was out of town, and if he discovered she was looking for him and fled, it would all be for naught. So, she only asked Lucian to inform her when Phillip returned.
This ti Audrey didn’t keep these findings to herself. She inford her second brother and also called Shane Warner to explain the situation.
Shane told her not to act rashly and to wait until he returned.
Audrey originally was only suspicious of Clarissa Morgan, but Clarissa had nothing to do with Sean Warner’s affairs.
Now Lan Irving appeared in her view, and everything made sense.
She had thought Lan Irving had really kept quiet, but it seed his hidden tactics were still plentiful.
Shane Warner was hospitalized for four days before he returned, claiming that lying in a hospital was no better than lying at ho.
Audrey was worried about his health, hoping he’d stay for a full week, but when Shane called her, he was already in the airport lounge.
This advance notice left her no choice but to hurriedly plan to et him at the airport.
Shane Warner arrived at the airport around four in the afternoon, and Audrey had already been waiting for half an hour.
Seeing him walk out of the airport passage, he was his usual energetic self, showing no trace of the surgical wounds still needing stitches.
