Thinking this way, Audrey Sutton withdrew her gaze, turned around with her hands behind her back, and walked back to the dining table.

Shane Warner, however, got excited, looked up and asked her while glancing around: "What color paper did you use?"

Without turning her head, Audrey replied, "Pink, or maybe blue, it’s one of the two. You find it yourself, and if you do, I’ll buy you so candy."

Having said that, Audrey sat back down by the dining table, munching on so nuts the store provided, while playing a puzzle ga on her phone.

After several days of trying, she finally cleared that level just as the store staff brought the rice noodles to the table.

Audrey put away her phone, turned her head to Shane and said, "Stop looking and co eat."

Shane seed not to hear, and soon she saw him walking towards the wall. He stretched out his hand and plucked a pink sticky note from the colorful array.

Turning to face Audrey, he gently lifted the corner of his mouth, holding the note between his index and middle fingers, and waved it lightly at her.

Audrey was montarily stunned, then said, "You must have randomly picked one! Put it back where it belongs!"

The smile on Shane’s face deepened. Standing still without minding the other custors in the store, he looked down at the note and read aloud: "I, Audrey Sutton, will definitely beco Mrs. Warner. Exclamation mark, tis three."

Hearing Shane read it word for word, even matching the number of exclamation marks, Audrey realized he’d truly found the embarrassing thing.

She imdiately put down her chopsticks and rushed to Shane’s side: "Give it to !"

Shane raised his hand out of her reach, looked down at her with an amused expression, and teased, "Hello, Mrs. Warner."

Audrey’s face flushed even more. She glanced at the other custors around the dining tables, thinking they must have heard what Shane just read out loud, wishing she could find a crack to crawl into.

Quickly, she pulled Shane back to the dining table, watching him stuff the pink sticky note into the inner pocket of his suit, then leisurely picked up his chopsticks, appearing quite delighted, and said with a chuckle while motioning with his chin: "Let’s eat."

Audrey glared at him, softly reiterated, "Give it back to !"

Shane: "You’ve already seen it. What’s the point of giving it back?"

Audrey stared at him defiantly for two seconds, then started fabricating excuses for herself: "I didn’t write that. My note was blue."

Shane chuckled: "You’re not Audrey Sutton?"

Audrey: "Can’t anyone else have the sa na? Is it forbidden for others to be called Audrey Sutton?"

Shane: "What a coincidence, she wants to be Mrs. Warner too!"

Audrey: "You’re not the only person with the last na Warner!"

Shane laughed, fully aware of the truth, and without arguing further, silently placed a few slices of at from his bowl into hers: "Alright, eat up. You’ve liked for more than just a day or two, so what’s there to be embarrassed about?"

Thinking of the at, Audrey stopped contesting, lowered her head to eat the at, and said sowhat begrudgingly, "You hardly ever say you like ."

Shane: "You like it enough that the at makes it into your mouth?"

Audrey smirked, took another piece of at into her mouth, as if swallowing his love whole, filled with happiness and satisfaction.

After eating a few bites of rice noodles, Audrey wiped her mouth with a napkin and asked Shane, "Is your company hiring?"

Shane glanced at her: "Hiring who?"

Audrey smiled and pointed at herself: "."

Shane chuckled: "You? What can you do? Spy on the boss at work?"

Audrey imdiately started promoting herself, saying, "I can do a lot! Serve tea, water the plants, dust your office, keep you company during social events—anything!"

Shane: "Isn’t that what you usually do? Are you hinting I should pay you a salary? Have you run out of money?"

Audrey shook her head: "No, it’s just that we’re about to graduate, and the teacher is concerned about employnt rates. Bear hasn’t found a suitable job, and I’ve never experienced working, so I thought you could give us both a position. The salary isn’t important; it’s just for the experience, so Bear can get his diploma."

Shane didn’t even consider before refusing: "Arranging a job for your roommate is possible, but not for you."

Audrey frowned: "Why not? Are you looking down on ?"

Shane: "You’re supposed to stay ho and take care of yourself, so why are you going to work?"

Hearing he was worried about the baby, Audrey’s frown eased, and she said, "My belly isn’t big yet, so I can still get around. Once I’m really showing, moving around will be inconvenient, and by the ti the baby is born, I’ll probably have graduated. Could you just fulfill this small wish of mine? You can give an easy office job; I can sit when I’m tired and walk around when I’m bored, and if I miss you, I can find you right away, right?"

Shane maintained a stern expression, clearly reluctant to agree.

Audrey continued to persuade him: "Think about it, no one at your company would dare to bully , and they wouldn’t dare to give any real tasks, so it’s basically doing as I please. It’s just to pass the ti, really."

With a pitiful expression, Audrey said, "You have no idea how lonely and hard it is when you’re at work, and I’m ho alone..."

Seeing through her acting yet still soft-hearted, Shane finally relented: "Then go to the design departnt. You don’t need to do anything; just offer your ideas if you have any while they’re working on design drafts."

Audrey frowned: "Isn’t that at Starfield? If you’re not at Starfield, what’s the point of going there?"

Shane: "It’s the most suitable job for you."

Audrey: "I want to work with you. I also know accounting. I can handle money matters. I once worked a sumr job at my third brother’s company, so even minor banking tasks are manageable for !"

Shane smiled: "Does this an you want to manage my money?"

Hearing him deliberately misinterpret her intentions, Audrey didn’t explain but followed along with a laugh: "Who else should manage your money but ?"

Shane sighed, choosing to indulge this small request of hers since keeping her happy was most important: "When will you start?"

Realizing his question ant he agreed, Audrey bead: "I can start tomorrow! But I have classes in the morning, and you promised to wear matching outfits to accompany to class. So, the day after tomorrow! Bear and I will report to the company the day after tomorrow."

Shane nodded, not forgetting to remind her, "Don’t cause trouble."

Audrey patted her chest reassuringly: "Is your wife that kind of person? Rest assured, I promise not to embarrass you!"
