Vanessa Sterling carried this worry, passing two days peacefully.
Miles Sterling didn’t show any unusual behavior, and she hadn’t seen him these past two days.
This slowly eased Vanessa’s uneasiness.
Richard Sheffield was busy with the studio’s opening these days. Even though he left early and returned late, he still made ti to have als with Vanessa.
After spending half a month together, Vanessa began to get accustod to the feeling of companionship and concern.
Whenever she saw the warm and sweet family portrait of Audrey Sutton’s household, her heart began to long for a future with Richard Sheffield.
Although they were currently just roommates, marriage and children seed distant, but Vanessa’s heart was already imagining those possibilities.
On this day, Vanessa started busying herself in the kitchen in the afternoon.
She followed the recipe while preparing dinner for tonight.
Once the dishes were prepared and set on the table, Vanessa repeatedly adjusted the position of the plates.
She placed roses and lit candles.
After making sure everything was ready, she picked up her phone and called Richard Sheffield: "Teacher Sheffield, are you ho yet?"
"I’m on my way, will be there soon. What would you like to eat today?"
Looking at the carefully laid-out dining table, Vanessa couldn’t help but smile and replied, "...I’ve made dinner at ho, eating at ho tonight."
Richard Sheffield paused, slightly surprised, and then said with a smile, "Thank you for your hard work. Once I’m less busy, I’ll cook for you in the future."
Vanessa giggled and nodded, saying, "Alright. Focus on driving, I’ll wait for you to co back and eat."
After hanging up, Vanessa adjusted the dining table once more, feeling an inexplicable excitent and restlessness.
Although only a few minutes had passed, Vanessa felt like she had waited for a long ti.
Upon hearing footsteps outside the door, she rushed to the door and opened it.
Richard Sheffield, who was about to enter the password, froze for a mont with his hand mid-air, then smiled at Vanessa and asked, "What’s up? You seem very happy today."
Vanessa pressed her lips and smiled, bending down to take a pair of n’s slippers from the cabinet, placing them at Richard Sheffield’s feet: "Hurry up and co in, the food will get cold."
Richard Sheffield hung his coat at the entryway and looked towards the dining room while changing shoes.
Seeing the dining table elegantly and romantically arranged, Richard Sheffield asked Vanessa with slight astonishnt, "Is today a special day?"
Vanessa assud a mysterious deanor and said, "Co eat first."
After changing shoes, Richard Sheffield chuckled, naturally pulling Vanessa along toward the dining table, guessing, "Your birthday?"
Accustod to physical contact like this from Richard Sheffield, Vanessa didn’t have any special reaction, smiled, and shook her head, saying, "No."
"There must be so reason for such a big al, right?"
Vanessa tugged Richard’s arm, seating him by the dining table, then sat in the opposite chair, smiling bashfully and said, "To celebrate the first day of us being together."
Richard froze for a mont, then realized the aning of Vanessa’s words, appearing pleasantly surprised and incredulous, saying, "You agreed?"
Vanessa pressed her lips and nodded, and Richard imdiately got up and joyfully embraced Vanessa.
Seeing the usually composed Richard Sheffield reveal childlike joy, Vanessa suddenly felt extrely fulfilled, gently raising her arms to hug him back.
At this mont, she felt all her choices were right.
She could also have her own happiness.
