Now reading: Chapter 163 cows have gone to heaven from Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return, a Romance novel by White Day.

Mu Hanyan sneakily stuck out his tongue. It seed that these two young n were also disciples of Qu Shanling, and they indeed possessed the most basic potential of an excellent god-man: the ability to greatly exaggerate!

Talking about tens of thousands of taels all the ti, what a joke. Even those famous Star Divination Masters in the Capital wouldn’t be so sought after.

Mu Hanyan subconsciously looked up, his gaze searching for sothing.

"Brother Han Yan, what are you looking at?" Hearing the dissatisfied comnts of the two young disciples and their talk of inco by the tens of thousands of taels, Mu Nan was incredibly shocked and even felt a bit nervous and ashad. Seeing Mu Hanyan looking up at the sky, he lowered his voice and asked curiously.

"I’m checking to see if there are any cows flying in the sky," Mu Hanyan whispered mysteriously into his ear.

"How could cows possibly fly in the sky?" Mu Nan asked, completely baffled.

"Well, you just keep on blowing, blow hard enough and they’ll take off into the sky," Mu Hanyan answered earnestly.

"Um... um..." Mu Nan wanted to laugh, but knowing it was impolite to do so in such a setting, he forcefully held it in, his face turning purple as he struggled not to suffocate himself.

Fortunately, they both spoke in very low voices, and nobody else heard them, otherwise, they would probably explode on the spot.

"Forget it, it’s too impersonal to talk about money between master and disciple. I ca to Heishi City to help him out, so you shouldn’t be so unyielding," Qu Shanling interrupted the two young disciples, speaking very calmly.

With the arrogance and pushiness displayed by the two disciples, his calmness seed even more generous and detached, truly fitting the image of a noble hermit.

Even Mu Nan stifled his laughter and regarded him with newfound respect.

"Thank you, Master, for your magnanimity. Your disciple is eternally grateful," said the steward, moved almost to the point of prostrating in gratitude.

"By the way, where is the owner of your auction house? Why hasn’t he co?" Qu Shanling looked around and asked.

"Master, this gentleman here is the owner of our auction house, Young Master Nan Munan," the steward said, pulling Mu Nan forward for the introduction.

Since Mu Nan was not certain if Qu Shanling would stay to lend a helping hand in Heishi City, he didn’t want to reveal his true identity too soon.

Of course, this could be seen as impolite, but if Qu Shanling agreed to stay, Mu Nan would personally explain the situation and the reasons behind his actions. With honesty, he believed Qu Shanling would understand.

"What? The owner of the auction you speak of is a re child, you... are you trying to make a fool of your master?" When Qu Shanling read the letters ntioning the auction owner’s discerning eye and resolute managent, he hadn’t seen any ntion of age. Shocked and angry upon seeing Mu Nan, he could hardly believe it.

Mu Nan looked slightly more mature than his peers, but he couldn’t possibly be that much older – he still looked no more than fifteen or sixteen. In these days, every noble family’s son was coddled from birth; how could such a young kid possess any discernnt or resolve?

Could it be that the letter was a hoax, a deliberate deception by his unworthy disciple? But what would his disciple gain by tricking him into coming all the way to Heishi City? Qu Shanling was inwardly perplexed.

Being a Star Divination Master, Qu Shanling was much more cunning than the average person. After only a mont of doubt, he quickly guessed the likely reason: Perhaps this Nanmu Auction didn’t have much renown in its early days, and they lured him here to lend them prestige.

Hmph, such calculative minds, daring even to use an old man like ! Qu Shanling made his assumptions quite arbitrarily and self-righteously, feeling a hint of anger as he looked at Mu Nan with disdain.
