After being held by Zhang Zhentian for a while, Xia Jing pried his hands off, turned to face him, and said, "By the way, Zhentian, I t Li Jiayuan today. She hopes I can arrange a eting with Xiao Wei, so he can visit her. Do you think I should help her?"
Zhang Zhentian playfully scraped Xia Jing’s nose and said affectionately, "Didn’t you already agree to help her?"
Xia Jing was pleased to hear Zhang Zhentian say this, as it proved he understood her well. At least from now on, she wouldn’t need to explain herself every ti.
She smiled at Zhang Zhentian, who smiled back awkwardly.
Feeling a sense of relief, Xia Jing leaned into Zhang Zhentian’s embrace and whispered, "Zhentian, have you noticed that Li Jiayuan is actually a nice girl? She isn’t bad at heart. After Xia Jing spoke these thoughtful words to Zhang Zhentian, he just stared at her dumbfounded. He suddenly realized that she seed different from the Xia Jing he had known before. Although the previous Xia Jing was kind, she paled in comparison to the Xia Jing before him now.
Noticing Zhang Zhentian’s gaze, Xia Jing lifted her head to look him in the eye. Curious about why he was looking at her that way, she waved her hand in front of his eyes. When Zhang Zhentian didn’t react, she suddenly slapped his shoulder hard. Zhang Zhentian thought sothing heavy had fallen on his head and looked around, searching for the nonexistent object while muttering, "What fell down? Why can’t I see it?"
He spun in place searching, and Xia Jing couldn’t help but laugh aloud.
"What are you laughing at?" Zhang Zhentian asked, puzzled.
"Nothing, I’m laughing at how silly you are. There was nothing falling—clearly, you were just distracted when I slapped your shoulder, and you got frightened like this. You’re too funny, haha..." Xia Jing laughed without restraint, and Zhang Zhentian looked at her with an unamused expression.
"Is it really that funny?" Zhang Zhentian gave Xia Jing a roll of the eyes.
"Yeah, don’t you think it’s funny? I’ve never seen such humor from you, so I really couldn’t help it. Don’t be mad, okay?" Xia Jing said, jokingly to Zhang Zhentian.
Zhang Zhentian didn’t know how to respond to her, and after a mont he told Xia Jing, "Don’t worry, I won’t be mad at you. Besides, even if I wanted to be mad, I wouldn’t dare. In this lifeti, I can only be a henpecked husband. I couldn’t bear to hit you, so what can I do? What can I say?"
Upon hearing Zhang Zhentian’s words, Xia Jing was stunned for a mont before rushing to hug him, knowing that at tis such a hug is worth more than a thousand words.

"Zhentian, I may need to return to the secret base tomorrow to find Xiao Wei and have a good talk with him about this, then try to persuade him to et Li Jiayuan. After all, it’s better to demolish ten temples than to destroy one marriage, right? If we really could bring them together, it would be a good thing, wouldn’t it?" Xia Jing said to Zhang Zhentian.
Zhang Zhentian felt Xia Jing made a lot of sense and asked her, "You’re right, so it’s up to you to handle this."

Turning to face him, Xia Jing said, "It ans you can figure out the roll of the eyes on your own!"
Zhang Zhentian was bewildered, thinking, A roll of the eyes still needs to be figured out?
"Hey, hey, should I accompany you tomorrow?" Zhang Zhentian asked, blocking her way.
"No need, I can go alone. You had better figure out the aning of the roll of the eyes!" After saying this, Xia Jing walked towards the front door.
She gently opened the door and made a "please" gesture with her hand. Zhang Zhentian, not understanding what Xia Jing was doing, just stood there motionless, watching her.
Xia Jing really felt helpless about Zhang Zhentian’s intelligence; she had made herself so clear, yet he still didn’t understand what she ant.
"Why are you looking at , what I an is it’s getting late, so please hurry ho, I want to rest!" Xia Jing explained to Zhang Zhentian with a tone of resignation.
Zhang Zhentian finally understood what Xia Jing was implying and hurriedly said, "Oh, I get it now, you an I should go ho now, right?"
Xia Jing gave Zhang Zhentian a thumbs-up.
Zhang Zhentian walked slowly to the doorway, his gaze lingering on Xia Jing reluctantly, but Xia Jing seed as if she didn’t see Zhang Zhentian’s reluctant expression. Just as Zhang Zhentian had changed his shoes and stepped out the door, he heard Xia Jing say, "Be careful on your way ho!"
Then the sound of the door closing followed. Xia Jing had shut Zhang Zhentian out just like that.
With no other choice, Zhang Zhentian could only take a taxi back to the Zhang family.
When he arrived ho, everyone was asleep; he went straight upstairs, dropped into bed, and fell asleep. anwhile, Xia Jing fell asleep not long after Zhang Zhentian had left.
The next morning at six o’clock, Xia Jing was already up. She got ready, skipped breakfast, and went straight to the secret base to find Xiao Wei.

"Elder Sister Xia, you’re here!" Xiao Wei greeted Xia Jing with enthusiasm.
