Ran Zhihan turned around and left after he spoke. He needed to hurry back ho; he didn’t want to continue letting this scandal unfold here. He knew it was a war between the two n, but why drag him, an innocent person, into it?
Zhang Yichen watched his wife turn away and leave. How could he not be anxious? He quickened his pace to follow her. When they both returned ho, Zhang Yichen saw that Ran Zhihan had already packed all her luggage. The wardrobe was empty now, void of any of her clothes. Her independence was growing, her willingness to have an honest conversation with him was fading, and he started to feel a bit irritated.
"Ran Zhihan, what do you an? Are you trying to move out? Do you think there is any point in living elsewhere now? Can’t you live peacefully with anymore? Do you even consider your husband anymore?"
"What do you an, ’Do I still see you as my husband’? Do you still see as your wife? You knew very well that I had nothing to do with this matter, yet you insisted on wronging , heaping all the bla on . What do you want to do to you? Is it possible that in your world, you never really saw as your wife? I don’t ask for much; I just wanted to live peacefully with you. Why is that so hard?"
"I don’t want you to tell that you act impulsively because you care about so much. In your heart, I’m nothing, just a pet you can summon or dismiss at will. You and Chen Gang only see as a tool to use. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to live a peaceful life. What do you see as in your eyes? An object? Sothing to trade? "Is it that I haven’t given you any trust? When I did trust you, you always thought I was gullible, that I wouldn’t care about the wrongs you did. But now you understand that’s not the case. What’s done is done; you’re no longer the person you used to be, and I too have changed. We really don’t have much left in common. So, please understand my intentions. I also don’t ask for much, just like what you want, but we have both hurt each other’s hearts.
However, no matter what, you have always existed in my heart. I have always seen you as my dearest love. I never thought we would argue or that it would turn this ugly. Do you know? This ho has been turned upside down and can’t withstand any conflict between us. I beg you, please calm down and think about the consequences of your actions. Do you really think that you will be as carefree without ?"
After listening to Zhang Yichen’s words, Ran Zhihan laughed.
"So, that’s what you think in your heart. You believe I’m with you just for the money. You have never believed I chose to be with you out of love. Do you really look down on that much? Do you all think I’m such a vain woman? I can live without money, I can live without anyone by my side, but I cannot live without my dignity. You trample on my dignity, and one day you will regret it. You clearly know that everything you’re doing today is just Chen Gang’s delaying tactic, yet you believe him and doubt over and over. I no longer exist in your heart, so why put on such an act in front of ?
I really want to ask, what am I to you? Why can’t you give even a bit of trust? I know trust between spouses has to be built up gradually, and one cannot simply offer all their trust to the other right away. I can understand your doubts, as I only desire trust in your eyes. But in the end, no matter what I do, you don’t trust at all. You always think I’m deceiving you. In your eyes, can soone who’s done wrong never be a good person again? Do you believe that no one else in the world can make mistakes, only you can, and you can keep making them and exploiting other people’s love for you, while others must endure the greatest pain of their lives because of a careless mistake?
Zhang Yichen, I once loved you passionately. To gain your trust, I did everything to please everyone in your family and treated you sincerely. At those monts, I felt my efforts were worthwhile; I felt your changing attitude towards and your growing trust. But in the end, I realized it was all a deception from you. You never really trusted , yet you pretended to, ti and again. If it was ant to hurt even more, are you really happy doing so? Does it not pain you at all to hurt ? Why? "That’s right, I choose not to trust you because you’ve done wrong. I’ve decided to never trust you for the rest of my life because of the wrongs you’ve committed.
Maybe you think I’m being too harsh on you. But do you understand how painful it was for when you hurt ? You don’t know the agony and tornt I’ve endured. What right do you have to judge ? Whether you are my wife or not doesn’t change that you might not care about . So, why should I care too much about keeping you by my side to enjoy wealth and luxury?"
