"Don’t wait for next ti, let’s do it now." With that thought, she suddenly said seriously to Wendy Linden.
"What?" Wendy Linden looked at her in confusion.
"Do you have a coin?" Sumr Shawcross didn’t bother to explain, and directly asked.
Wendy Linden was taken aback by the sudden question and then glanced at the bodyguard next to her.
"Do you have a coin?"
The bodyguard heard her and imdiately searched his pockets, finally pulling out a one-yuan coin.
"Miss Shawcross, here."
Sumr accepted the coin and placed it on her palm before spreading it out, then asked Wendy.
"Choose one side, heads or tails."
Seeing this, Wendy Linden gave a dismissive look.
"Who wants to play such a childish ga with you!"
"Since you don’t want to bet, forget it, I’m leaving first!" Sumr shrugged, pocketed the coin, and readied to leave with her violin.
Seeing her about to leave, Wendy Linden’s expression changed, and she hurriedly said.
"I choose heads!"
Upon hearing that, Sumr stopped and smiled.
Then, she tossed the coin into the air, caught it, clenched it, and slowly opened her hand.
Wendy Linden watched anxiously, and when she saw the coin land heads-up, she broke into a smile.
"I won against you!"
"Yes, so I’ll give you a word of advice!" Sumr nodded.
"Sumr Shawcross, are you playing with ?" Wendy said discontentedly; wasn’t their bet supposed to be about Noah Drexler?
"In a week, there will be major upheavals at the Linden family; you need to be wary of those around you." Sumr looked seriously at Wendy Linden and said earnestly.
Actually, Sumr wasn’t entirely clear on the Linden family’s affairs, but she shared what little she knew as a token of gratitude for Wendy’s help with keeping her violin safe.
After Sumr’s words, Wendy Linden froze for a mont, then showed an angry expression.
"Are you cursing ?"
Sumr sighed, not surprised by her reaction; after all, if soone ca up to her with such words, she would be mad enough to curse back.
Thinking this, she sighed and helplessly continued.
"If I told you I could predict the future, would you believe ?"
"Only a fool would believe you!" Wendy Linden looked at her as if she were insane.
"..."
"Sumr Shawcross, you must be jealous that I’m happier than you, that’s why you’re cursing , right?" Wendy Linden said resentfully.
"Well, since you don’t believe , let’s say I didn’t say anything, take care of yourself then." Sumr shook her head in resignation and walked away with her violin.
She had said what needed to be said; whether it could change Wendy Linden’s fate, that was up to her.
Watching her quietly leave, Wendy Linden was dumbfounded.
"Miss, Mr. Yuan, who won the auction, requests you to play a piece for him alone right now..." At that mont, a staff mber approached with a smile and reminded Wendy Linden.
Wendy Linden’s face changed, abruptly recalling the man who won with five million and had been leering at her the whole ti, feeling even more annoyed!
"Let him go to hell!"
"..."
...
Sumr Shawcross carried her violin to Noah Drexler’s room, pulled the room key out of her pocket, and opened the door.
The room was pitch black, no lights were on.
The anxious feeling she had been carrying finally relaxed, and she quietly tiptoed in with her violin.
However, just when she groped her way to the sofa, ready to put down the violin...
Out of the darkness, a hand suddenly extended, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her over.
"Ah!"
Sumr scread, startled!
