He hurriedly reached out to hold her hand, checked the depth of the cut, and sighed.
"How could you be so careless?"
"The kitchen knife is a bit blunt..." Afraid of being scolded, Sumr Shawcross hurriedly added in explanation.
Hearing her excuse, Sean Shawcross didn’t say anything further. Instead, he let go of her hand and turned to find the first-aid kit.
After a short while, Sean returned to the kitchen with the first-aid kit in hand.
Seeing him approach, Sumr quickly extended her injured index finger to him.
Sean glanced at her, shook his head, and then started bandaging her wound.
"Leaving you alone in Narsus City, I’m really not quite at ease." He sighed again.
Hearing this, Sumr paused.
"Are you leaving again?"
He had just co back; how could he be leaving again?
Sean paused as he bandaged her, then gently nodded and looked at her with so concern, speaking softly.
"Yeah, there are still many things waiting for to do. You must rember to take good care of yourself."
Hearing this, Sumr looked at him reluctantly.
"Brother... why don’t you stop wandering around and just stay in Narsus City? Don’t you really like gas? You could start a gaming company, and I’ll even invest in it. I’ve taken several ads and saved quite a bit of money now!" Sumr bit her lip, unable to help but say to him.
For so reason, his return this ti left her feeling sowhat uneasy.
Suddenly, she was very afraid that even if she prevented what happened last ti, Sean might still encounter sothing.
After all, he’s getting older, and instead of wandering around, he should settle in Narsus City and start a family.
Hearing Sumr’s words, Sean just smiled gently.
"Silly, I’m your brother and the eldest son of The Shawcross Family. I have responsibilities to shoulder, and naturally, I have to go out and explore."
"But you can explore right here in Narsus City!" Sumr couldn’t help but retort.
"I’m a man; there are certain things I need to do." Sean was silent for a few seconds before continuing.
"But... wouldn’t it be nice for us siblings to stay together? I believe our future days will be even better!" Sumr said confusedly.
In her view, for their family to live peacefully and steadily was already the happiest thing, so she didn’t understand why he wouldn’t stay in Narsus City.
"You’ll understand in the future." Sean sighed again.
Seeing that she couldn’t persuade him, Sumr felt a bit disappointed but didn’t want to say anything more, only looking at him reluctantly.
Unknowingly, the wound on her finger had been bandaged.
"Why are you looking at like that?" Sean let go of her hand and only then noticed she had been staring at him.
"It’s nothing, just that I haven’t seen you for such a long ti, so I really miss you..." Sumr said, pursing her lips, feeling sowhat resentful that he was leaving again.
After she stopped him from driving last ti, she hadn’t had the chance to take a good look at him before he left.
She thought this ti the siblings could spend more ti together, but she didn’t expect he would be leaving so soon again.
Hearing her words, Sean’s expression beca sowhat heavy. He suddenly raised his hand and gently patted her head, comforting her like he used to when they were children.
"Sumr, I promise you, once everything settles down, I will always stay by your side and never leave you alone again."
