"Why aren’t you saying anything? Is he badly injured?"
Her appearance at this mont made the man’s expression turn grim.
He pressed his thin lips together, suddenly bent down, and lifted her off the ground entirely.
"Let’s go ho first!"
After he spoke, he carried her and strode toward the villa.
The butler held an umbrella and hurried to keep up.
As Noah Drexler carried Sumr Shawcross through the door, Sumr struggled to get off him. He glanced down at her, hesitated for a mont, and finally bent over, placing her on the carpet, letting her feet rest on the soft rug. Then he took off his black suit, wrapping it around her body with practiced ease.
On his handso face was a hint of gentleness that others had never seen before.
Sumr Shawcross did not resist or care about his actions at that mont. She just looked straight at him and asked, puzzled.
"Why aren’t you answering my question? What happened to my brother?"
In the face of her repeated questioning, Noah Drexler’s expression remained frozen.
He looked down and stared at her face for a long ti, then finally moved his thin lips and said coldly.
"He’s dead."
The mont his voice rang out, Sumr Shawcross was stunned on the ground, as if she had beco foolish.
Seeing her dazed expression, Noah Drexler furrowed his brow, took a towel from the servant, and began to dry her soaking wet long hair.
Sumr did not refuse, nor did she react at all to his actions.
Just standing there for a long ti, she suddenly ca back to herself and spoke to Noah once more.
"Noah Drexler, you’re lying to . My brother can’t be dead." She said with unwavering conviction, her expression gradually turning blank, yet her emotions remained surprisingly calm, without shedding a single tear.
How could her brother be dead... it was a joke!
She had clearly already saved him, how could he be dead?
Her reaction made Noah Drexler’s hand holding the towel freeze.
The expression on his handso face changed too, her current calmness only tightened sothing in his heart.
He furrowed his brow, watching her blank expression grow more complicated.
She was too shockingly calm.
"I’m not lying to you." After a mont, he still spoke up.
Hearing his words, Sumr Shawcross shook her head without even thinking.
"No way..."
She mumbled to herself, suddenly turning around, walking straight out of the carpet’s range, barefoot on the floor, heading toward the stairs.
Seeing this, Noah Drexler’s expression stiffened, and he quickly matched her pace.
"Where are you going?" He raised his hand and grabbed her wrist.
"I’m going to sleep." Sumr looked at him seriously and said.
Sleep? Is she tired?
Hearing this, a surprised look flashed across Noah’s face.
He took a deep breath, his eyes fixed intently on her.
At this mont, he couldn’t read any of her thoughts from her face.
She always had a simple mind, and he could easily see through her intentions.
But right now...
"When I wake up, I’ll be able to see my brother." Sumr looked at Noah, then continued speaking to him.
She was dreaming now, and when she woke up from her dream, she would see her brother again.
As her voice fell, a sudden pain shot through Noah’s heart.
