The skinny wolf appeared to be injured
“The sll of blood, huh…”
“Is it in pain?”
Liza must have been worried, as she started to pet the wolf as well.
But from what I could see, it looked underfed and dirty, but not injured.
There were no bloodstains around it either.
Still, if Leo slled it, then it must be true.
“…Maybe it’s… Sorry… Oomph. Don’t worry, we’re not going to hurt you. I just need to see sothing, alright?”

As the wolf was lying down, I could only see its head, back, front legs and tail.
But when I reached under its body to look, the wolf bared its teeth and growled.
“Wuff.”

And then I gently moved my hands underneath and checked the places I could not see.

I wasn’t sure if she rembered it, but I had a feeling that she was comparing the wolf to the situation she had once been in, and so she wanted to help.
Sherry and Liza had been like that too. And she could not ignore soone who had fallen into such a sad and unfair situation.
