He had swiftly arranged the car, not only sending Rong Yan off but also instructing the driver several times to be careful on the road, to drive slowly before finally watching her leave.
The drive was both fast and steady, and in the time it took Rong Yan to play a round of a mobile game, the car had already arrived at its destination.
“Miss Rong, we’ve arrived,” the driver said as he opened the car door for her.
“We have?”
“Yes, we have.”
“Oh, okay,” Rong Yan, still a bit disoriented, put away her phone, picked up the document bag beside her, and bent down to get out of the car.
As soon as she got out of the car, she breathed in the fresh air of the suburban area. The refreshing oxygen cleansed her lungs, and she felt so fortable that she snapped out of her drowsiness.
“Excuse me, are you Miss Rong Yan?” an employee of the golf course that Gu Ming had mentioned approached her. Dressed in a suit and with meticulously bed hair, the employee wore delicate makeup, held her hands in front of her, and approached with a perfectly measured smile, asking proactively.
Rong Yan nodded, “Yes, it’s me.”
The female employee immediately bowed respectfully, “Assistant Gu called me just now to say that you would be ing. I’ve been waiting for you. Please follow me, I’ll take you to Mr. Li.”

The clubhouse was architecturally modern in style, with large, bright glass windows that hinted at its value just from the exterior alone.

Inside, Rong Yan could see a large expanse of neatly trimmed green lawn.
It seemed as if the whole hillside was encircled by this golf course, the lush grass neatly manicured, illuminated by street lights to shine as bright as day.
In such a vast golf course, only a few people were playing, but from dozens of meters away, Rong Yan could already see a man standing out from the crowd.
Li Shengxiao was wearing a simple light grey sports shirt, standing tall and distinguished. People next to him were holding golf clubs, occasionally hitting a ball and chatting with him.

He left the man at his side and strode over to Rong Yan, standing tall in front of her. He lowered his head, staring intently at her as if he was about to kiss her, and asked in a husky voice, “What are you doing here?”
Rong Yan shook the things in her hand and with a smile said, “I’m here to help Assistant Gu deliver something to you. Didn’t you ask him to send you some documents? He had a stomachache, and it happened that I was going to see you, so he asked me to deliver them instead. I didn’t e too slowly, did I delay your work?”
Li Shengxiao noted in his mind to give Gu Ming a bonus later and, feeling pleased, grabbed Rong Yan’s hand, “Not at all.”
