"An alliance, you say?" Anna Grace thought for a mont before speaking. "I don’t think it would be a bad idea. In fact, it would greatly benefit us against the Gods."

"In my opinion, allying with the Demon Empire is an excellent choice. They would be powerful allies against the Gods," Valeria said, her tone firm, as she had far more experience in warfare than anyone else present.

"It’s settled then. We will form an alliance with the Demons against the Gods. Our main objective is to banish the Gods from the floating island—the so-called High Heaven," Yuan declared, a firm look on his face accompanied by a wide grin.

’You’ve made a grave mistake by targeting us... now it’s ti for you to pay the price,’ Yuan smirked inwardly.

The following morning, a maid knocked repeatedly on the door and inford Yuan and his wives that breakfast had been prepared.

Shortly after, they all exited the room and followed the maid to the dining hall, where the Imperial Family, along with the four Dukes, were already seated at the dining table, waiting for them.

"What took you all so long? Don’t tell you were doing sothing indecent so early in the morning," Duke Hexryn said, a playful smirk on her face as she looked at them.

"It’s not like that. We simply woke up late—that’s all," Yuan replied calmly, not flustered in the slightest by her teasing.

Duke Hexryn raised her brows slightly and smiled. "Are you absolutely sure about that?"

"Enough, you old hag! Just eat your damn food," Duke Alric snapped, his voice laced with venom.

"Hmph! You of all people don’t get to tell what to do... eat your fill and get lost!" Duke Hexryn shot back, veins bulging on her forehead in anger.

Yuan then shifted his attention to the unfamiliar faces present in the room—the mbers of the Imperial Family of the Demon Empire.

"I couldn’t introduce my family to you all yesterday, as they weren’t present in the palace at the ti. But now that they’re here, I’d like to formally introduce them," Emperor Rhex said with a smile as he looked at Yuan and the others.

"This is my wife—Empress Varia. She has been my greatest support throughout the empire’s most difficult tis," he continued. "And this is my son—Prince Kael, the fruit of our union and the next in line to the throne."

"And these are the guests we spoke about—the travelers from beyond the mysterious storm barrier," Emperor Rhex then introduced Yuan and the others to his family.

"It’s a pleasure to et you all. This is actually my first ti eting people who aren’t from our continent," Empress Varia said politely, her eyes carefully scanning Yuan and the others.

"I’ve heard so much about you over the past few days. There are all sorts of rumors circulating within noble circles about your group," Prince Kael said excitedly, his eyes filled with curiosity as he looked at them. "It’s finally a pleasure to et you all."

"By the way, I’m really curious. How did you manage to cross the mysterious storm barrier? Isn’t it supposed to be impossible?" Prince Kael asked, the curiosity in his eyes unmistakable.

"Indeed. No ship has ever been able to withstand the violent sea currents and raging storms," Empress Varia nodded slightly. "Not to ntion the powerful sea monsters lurking beneath the surface—nothing has ever escaped them."

Emperor Rhex pondered for a mont and looked at Yuan before saying, "I have never thought about that before. Now that the topic has co up, I’m truly curious how you all managed to cross the storm barrier."

"We didn’t co here by ship or anything like that. We simply flew here," Yuan replied calmly.

"..." Duke Alric, Duke Corvin, and the mbers of the Imperial Family stared at Yuan and the others with utterly dumbfounded expressions on their faces.

"Please... don’t joke about such an important matter... There’s no way people could fly. That’s far beyond the reach of humans!" Prince Kael spoke, his voice trembling with disbelief.

"I’m not joking. I’m telling the truth," Yuan replied with a faint smile as he continued eating his breakfast.

"He isn’t joking, Prince Kael. I can personally testify to his claim, as I witnessed it with my own eyes," Duke Cedric said firmly.

"What?! Is that really true?!" Empress Varia exclaid, disbelief clearly written across her face.

"I can testify as well. I’ve also seen them flying," Duke Hexryn added with a soft smile.

Duke Alric and Duke Corvin appeared completely stunned after hearing this, staring at Yuan and the others with strange expressions.

’Just who are these people? They keep delivering one shock after another!’ Duke Alric scread inwardly, unable to believe what he was hearing.

"This is hard to believe... but since two dukes have confird it, we have no choice but to accept it," Duke Corvin added, though disbelief still lingered on his face.

Once breakfast ended, Emperor Rhex took the four Dukes with him to another room to discuss matters concerning the border.

The Undead Race had been growing increasingly bold recently, and it would beco extrely troubleso if a solution wasn’t found soon.

If all else failed, Emperor Rhex would have no choice but to wage war against the Undead Race before they attacked nearby cities and villages.

anwhile, Yuan and the others decided to leave the palace for a while and explore the city, hoping to find sothing interesting.

The city appeared peaceful, with people going about their daily work. Rows of shops lined the streets, displaying all kinds of goods.

Many vendors had also set up stalls along the road, so of them packed with people lining up to buy their favorite snacks and food.

The people were completely unaware of the danger lurking near the border, all of them smiling and cheerful, oblivious to the looming threat.

As Yuan and the others walked through the streets, people began whispering about their unusual appearances.

"Look at those people... they look so different."

"Could it be the rumors were true after all? Are those the rumored people?"

"I don’t know for sure, but they definitely don’t look like anyone from this continent."

The whispers quickly filled the air as everyone turned to look at Yuan and the others while they passed through the streets.

However, Yuan and the others ignored the curious gazes and continued walking, completely unbothered by the murmurs surrounding them.

"I want to try so of those," Xi ili said, pointing toward a street food vendor, the aroma of the food irresistibly tempting.

"Sure, let’s each try one," Yuan nodded with a smile as he walked toward the vendor.

After tasting the food, they continued strolling through the city, sampling different kinds of street food wherever they went.
