Tang Ming hadn’t expected Li Xiaoli to carry a Desert Eagle with her. Was this girl trying to defy the heavens?
"Scram," Li Xiaoli slowly raised her hand and pointed the gun at the bald man.
"Bad moods make my hand slippery, and if soone gets shot accidentally, don’t bla ."
"Big sis, stay calm, don’t point that thing at , I’m wrong, I’m scramming now,"
The bald man dodged the muzzle while backing away in terror, and in the blink of an eye, he ran off without a trace.
"Xiaoli, why did you bring it out?" Liu ngting and Tang Ming asked in puzzlent as they watched Li Xiaoli put away the gun.
"Hehe, didn’t Big Brother Tang say he didn’t want others to know he had regained his cultivation? Of course, I had to carry sothing for self-defense. I used this very thing to blow Yao Buji’s head off," she chuckled.
Li Xiaoli grinned and proudly said, "You see, this ti I scared off those bad guys without Big Brother Tang having to lift a finger. How aweso is that?"
"Hehe, you really are thoughtful." Tang Ming forced a smile; this girl was too violent.
This was just a minor incident, and soon after, the food Tang Ming had ordered was served.
Looking at the steaming, fragrant barbecue, Tang Ming rubbed his hands in preparation to eat.
"May I sit here?"
Just as Tang Ming was eating heartily, a gentle voice suddenly rang out.
Looking up, he saw a woman in a long, white dress and a black coat, with stunning long hair, standing beside the table with a charming smile.
"Ask them," Tang Ming said, encountering a woman wanting to share the table.
"If Sister is alone, then please join us," Liu ngting responded, finding it hard to refuse since the other person was a woman.
"With so many empty spots, you wouldn’t happen to have taken a liking to Brother Tang, would you?"
Li Xiaoli was wary of the newcor.
"Thank you, you two sisters are so pretty. You can call Ru ng,"
The woman ran her fingers through her hair and introduced herself warmly.
"Liu ngting (Li Xiaoli)!"
The two won politely responded, and they were relieved that Ru ng hadn’t asked for Tang’s na, which eased their minds.
"Ru ng sister, aren’t you afraid of eting bad people by traveling alone at night?"
Li Xiaoli couldn’t help but ask curiously.
"The public security in Songlan City isn’t bad; there shouldn’t be that many bad people,"
Ru ng smiled enchantingly, and then added softly, "Besides, bad people would probably be afraid of too."
"Hehe." Hearing this, Tang Ming chuckled oddly, figuring she was a woman who didn’t know how to take care of herself, unafraid of encountering bad people.
"Is he your boyfriend?"
Ru ng glanced at Tang Ming uncertainly.
"No," Liu ngting quickly shook her head.
"Yes," Li Xiaoli nodded solemnly, then the two won exchanged glances, creating a sowhat awkward atmosphere.
"I understand,"
Ru ng nodded knowingly, showing a thought-provoking smile.
Afterward, Ru ng started chatting happily with the two won, discussing everything from fashion clothes to celebrity gossip, feeling as if they had known each other for years!
A few minutes later, seeing that Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli were engrossed in conversation and hadn’t eaten, Ru ng imdiately handed over so skewers she had ordered:
"You’re so caught up in chatting; have so food too."
"Thank you."
Only then did the two won realize that Tang Ming had been so focused on eating that he had almost ignored them, and the food was nearly all gone.
"Handso, you should eat so too."
Ru ng pushed the remaining kebabs toward Tang Ming, having realized he was a big eater.
"Then I won’t be shy."
Tang Ming took the food and began to eat, as he was still not full.
After biting into a kebab, Tang Ming’s eyebrows twitched. He watched the two won as they were about to eat, didn’t stop them, and then quickly finished all the kebabs.
After eating and drinking their fill, Tang Ming prepared to leave with the two won. Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli eagerly wanted to see Ru ng off, but she declined.
"I never expected that my first ti out at a food stall at night would lead to et soone like Sister Ru ng."
Once in the car, Liu ngting said excitedly, "It feels like I really clicked with Sister Ru ng."
"Yeah, there was no barrier in communication at all, as if we had known each other for many years."
Li Xiaoli also comnted, moved.
"Heh, wait for in the car for a bit. I left sothing behind, and please, do not get out of the car."
Tang Ming advised them in a sowhat panicked tone. Without waiting for their response, he got out of the car and locked it.
After Tang Ming left the car, his expression instantly turned serious, and he quickly walked back toward the food stall.
When he arrived, he just saw Ru ng’s figure turning into an alley, and he imdiately followed her.
"I knew you would co."
Just as he entered the alley, Tang Ming saw Ru ng standing where the light and shadow intersected, smiling at him.
"Who exactly are you?"
Tang Ming eyed Ru ng warily. After eating the kebabs she had given him, he had felt a massive energy within them, yet they weren’t harmful, which puzzled him greatly.
"Who I am isn’t sothing you need to know right now. You just need to know that I am not your enemy,"
Ru ng said lightly, with a smile, as she brushed her hair back with her hand.
Watching Ru ng’s movents, Tang Ming felt an odd sense of familiarity, but couldn’t quite place where he had seen it before.
"Thank you for taking care of ng Ting." Before Tang Ming could speak, Ru ng asked leisurely:
"I heard Liu Gaoze had an accident. How is he doing?"
"You are ng Ting’s mother?"
Tang Ming’s mind reeled, recognizing the familiar feeling he had—it reminded him strongly of Liu ngting. Upon hearing her words, he instantly guessed her identity.
"Regarding that, I won’t deny it, but I can’t say too much."
Ru ng nodded, then asked again, "I just want to know how Liu Gaoze is doing?"
"Uncle Liu is fine now and will be back at his job in a couple of days," Tang Ming hurriedly replied, then anxiously asked:
"Since you’re ng Ting’s mother, why haven’t you reconciled with her?"
Tang Ming knew that Liu ngting had never seen her mother and, although she never brought it up, he believed that she, like him, longed to et her family.
"The ti is not right yet," Ru ng said, shaking her head sadly:
"Now that I know Liu Gao is okay, I’m relieved. Tang Ming, you must beco stronger."
"How do you know my na?"
Tang Ming’s eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Ru ng. During the entire interaction, the two won had never ntioned his na; how could she know him—what was going on?
"Your marriage to ng Ting was arranged by . I hope you will take good care of her,"
Ru ng said, slowly retreating into the shadows.
