Chapter 818

Anton, his father, and his sister spent a long ti talking about the last battle between the human kingdoms and the Undead Coalition. Since Anders and Anna knew all about the skills that all of his Diablo II characters had, he could describe to them the battles that he had undergone while he was part of Team Gorvin.

Anton was a little surprised to realize that ever since he joined Team Gorvin, before the last battle, he had only been part of two missions. Captain Joraniah excused him from the last mission so he could create Tablets of Survival Spells. He told Anders and Anna that most of his creations had been distributed to the wizards who joined in the fight against the undead. The sad part was that, according to the information that was given to him, almost eighty percent of the wizards who joined in the fight had perished, so more than likely, most of those tablets were lost.

What it all ant was that it would take a while for the human kingdoms, like Ormunda and New Drennor, that joined in that last battle, to recover to their forr strength. It was undisclosed, but a lot of the highest-ranking wizards from the Invincible Rank up to the Divine Rank wizards had also perished.

Anton assud that the exact number of wizards who had fallen would remain a mystery. It would not help the human kingdoms to let everyone know how much strength they had lost by losing their most powerful wizards.

In truth, it did not matter to Anton. At that mont, his very being was suffused with contentnt. There would be no need for him and his family to worry. They could start planning to live their lives as best as they could without the fear that soday, their lives would be uprooted again.

To Anton, it also ant that he needed to start fulfilling his goal of attaining enough magical strength to the point where he would have the power to traverse different dinsions, until he had the power to even go back to Earth. Even though there was nothing left for him there, he still loved the otaku culture and would still like his new world to attain.

He knew that the best thing for him to do was to join an organization that would allow him to learn the knowledge that he would need, but he felt that it would be best to look sowhere else. He had too much history with Ormunda and New Drennor for him to be able to focus on growing his power as a wizard without being affected by politics.

First things first, before deciding on anything related to the future, he would need to settle his past and his present first. At that mont, the family businesses and the Rose Manor were stable. The family’s financial strength was still growing, but not to the point that the powers that be of Ormunda would look at them with envy, since the power and wealth that the family was gathering were only abundant in comparison to the mundane citizens of Ormunda. When it ca to actual magical power and wealth, the Sunder Family’s influence was negligible, and Anton and Anders were content with that.

It might change soday through Anna. If she had the ambition of moving forward and claiming power in Ormunda, Anton and Anders would not stop her, but Anton did not have that ambition. He did have the goal of attaining magical strength, but that was because he wanted to beco an adventurer who could travel the multiverse, if sothing like that was possible.

Anton realized that even though his Diablo System was giving him power, it was not giving him the knowledge he needed, and he theorized that the only thing that could give him that knowledge was the magical organizations of this world.

Since the present was stable, it was now ti to settle down the past. The main reason why Anton kept the portal that would allow him to return to Rendindura was that he knew that their family was not yet done with their old kingdom.

Even though Anton’s connection with the family’s village and fellow villager since in truth, he did not know them since he was a transmigrator and had to leave the village after just a few weeks, Anders and Anna had stayed a long ti in the kingdom of ndi. Oakswood Village was the nearest village where they lived, and even though their farm was a little far from Oakswood Village, Anders and Anna still considered Oakswood as their village. Anders’s wife, the mother of Anton’s body, was buried near their farm.

Anton knew that his father and his sister would want to visit Oakswood to check out the things there and maybe look for any survivors from their village. In truth, the three of them did not really know what happened to Oakwood Village. During their run, they had heard that the kingdom of ndi had fallen, and they did see the armies of the Undead Coalition, but they did not know if Oakswood Village was destroyed.

When Anders tentatively opened up the discussion about returning to ndi, Anton told his father that he knew that they would want to check out their previous ho kingdom. He told his father and his sister that it was the reason why he kept the portal that would allow them to return to Rendindura open.

Anders beca teary-eyed when he heard Anton say that he would be accompanying his father in returning to ndi. Anna started sobbing and said that she would also want to return to ndi to check the state of Oakswood Village. Of course, the three of them had set their expectations to the lowest point possible. There was a huge chance that when they returned to ndi, they would not find a kingdom but an empty wilderness.

Since all of the undead were summoned back to Nizgeroth when the human kingdoms attacked the kingdom of the Undead Coalition, that ant that New Drennor had already dispersed the armies they had ford to fight the undead, so Anders was now free to return to the manor.

Anders had also spoken with Anna’s school, and she was given a year's leave. They easily acquired that permission because, first, Anna had already attained enough rank even though she was very young. Not only that, the magical academies had allowed those wizards who wanted to return to their families to start the process of rebuilding the magical might of their kingdom.

The best thing about returning to ndi was that even though they would need to travel a long ti from Nermador to ndi, they could return to the Rose Manor by using Anton’s Town Portal scroll every ti they wanted to rest. They did not need to camp in the wilderness.

Anders told Anton and Anna that they would return to ndi after about a week. They would need to let Ormunda settle down from the victory they just had against Nizgeroth.

After Anton’s talk with his father and his sister, it was ti for them to invite everyone else, so after a while, the whole family had gathered, including Anders’s Vice Captains. They understood that everyone wanted to know what happened with the war against the Undead Coalition. Thankfully, Anton did not have to repeat himself since Anders was the one who assud the responsibility of sharing all the information everyone wanted, and since Anders knew basically everything Anton knew, his father would be able to satisfy everyone’s need for information.
