Chapter 819
Anton did not speak that night to anyone and just let his father answer everyone's questions regarding the battle that happened between the human kingdoms and the Undead Coalition in Nizgeroth. Anders even described that final battle as if Anton’s father were there. Anders just basically repeated what Anton had said almost verbatim.
Thankfully, everyone was sensitive enough not to bother him. They could see that he was still exhausted.
Anton’s exhaustion was not so much physical and ntal as emotional. His feelings were still a cacophony of different emotions like relief, grief, loss, and more.
The only one who bothered him a little was Alfred, but the boy stopped when Anton simply stated that he was extrely tired and did not want to talk. After a while, he excused himself, went to his room, and slept.
He knew that his desire for sleep was so chanism that his mind and body were exhibiting to protect him, and he just obeyed. Even though he rembered the Pearl of the Ocean, he decided not to use it and just lay down on his bed like a normal human being.
The next ti he opened his eyes, he still felt tired, not energized. He summoned Raymond through the bell cord beside his bed, and once the butler arrived, he requested so food.
The food was brought to him by Anders, who asked him about his situation. Anton started eating, but did answer Anders that he still felt tired and wanted to rest so more. Once he was done eating, he simply told his father that he would go back to sleep and lie back down again and slept. Anton didn’t even know how long he slept.
Anton didn’t understand why he felt depressed. He recognized what he was feeling since it was the sa thing that he experienced after his friends aboard the ship Alia were all killed. First of all, he did not let himself get too close to any of his teammates in Nermador. He thought that more than likely, it was he losing the goal that had been the center of his existence in this world.
Now that the Undead Coalition was no more, he would need to find a new goal. He did have one already, which was to beco powerful enough so that he could beco a multi-realm or multi-dinsional adventurer or whatever they call it, but the issue was, his mind and body seed not to have caught up with the idea that he didn’t have any reason to be depressed, and just went on shut-down mode for so kind of self-protection.
Anton decided to just let it be and continue resting. Once his mind and body were ready, he would regain his energy, and then he, Anders, and Anna would return to ndi to check out their ho kingdom.
Anton also decided that once they were done visiting ndi and Oakswood Village, he would travel to another continent and join an organization that would let him learn the knowledge that he needed to beco so sort of dinsional adventurer. He decided that it would be a clean break, aning he wouldn’t return to the Rose Manor for a long ti.
After he had transmigrated to this world, Anton had never been far away from Anders and Anna for a long ti. He felt that it was ti for him to leave. Anders was now powerful enough to support the family, and the businesses that the family had were already stable. His father could even start a new family if he wanted.
Anna was also becoming a very powerful wizard and would probably have deep connections with the wizards of Ormunda. That ant that she could live her life without Anton hovering around her.
He would not tell them of his decision regarding leaving as of yet and would only do so once they returned to Ormunda from visiting ndi and Oakswood.
Anton did not want to be disturbed yet, so instead of summoning Raymond for food, he simply ate so of the stored food he had in his inventory. After that, he cleaned himself using his Cleaning spell and spent ti mindlessly watching a cody sitcom. He started watching the sitcom “Friends” since he had not seen it yet, and thought that the cody sitcom would take his mind off things. That decision was the correct one since it allowed him to heal a bit by making his mind rest because it was focusing on trivial things.
Whenever soone entered his room, Anton would simply pretend to sleep and would return to watching Friends when whoever entered left.
Anton let himself rot in his bed for several days, and thankfully, his family didn’t disturb him too much. Anders and Anna would just check up on him once in a while to make sure that he was alright.
After completing six seasons of the show Friends, Anton suddenly felt full of energy. He knew that his mind and his body had restored their equilibrium. When he checked the ti, it was noon. He cleaned himself up, cast the Blizzard spell converted into Mana Rain, and went to the dining room.
When he arrived at the dining room, there was no one there, but he did ask one of the maids for sothing to eat. After a few minutes, Anders and Anna arrived.
“Are you fine now?” Anna asked.
“Yes. My mind and body had finally restored themselves. So, what’s the situation with Ormunda and New Drennor?”
“The human kingdoms started celebrating our victory against the Undead Coalition, and it’s still ongoing. More than likely, the celebration would last for a few more days,” Anders told him.
The three of them started talking about everything that was happening in Ormunda. Even though it was now well-known that the wizards of Ormunda and New Drennor had cracked the magic of Anton’s portal scroll, they still required their family to provide twenty portal scrolls. Apparently, the portal runes that the wizards were able to produce that mimic Anton’s portal scrolls were prohibitively expensive to make.
Since Anton was able to produce thirty Town Portal Scrolls every month, it was not an issue to submit twenty of them to Ormunda.
They also started discussing their plan of returning to ndi. They decided to leave for ndi after three days. Thankfully, Anders had already prepared everything, including submitting the request to the higher-ups or Ormunda regarding returning to ndi for a visit.
Anders told him that the main reason why Ormunda’s wizards allowed them to leave was the fact that their family could return to Ormunda anyti they wanted through one of Anton’s portal scrolls, but they did request that they bring with them one of the wizards that would be assigned to join them, and Anders just agreed to avoid problems.
In truth, Anders wanted just the three of them to return to ndi, but since Ormunda insisted that soone join them, the ones who would be going to ndi would be Anton, Anders, Anna, and the wizards from Ormunda who would be joining them.
They didn’t even need servants or coaches since Anton told his father and sister that they would just use his summons.
Since they planned to leave after three days, Anders and Anna busied themselves in making sure that the manor and the family businesses wouldn’t have any issues with their absence. In truth, the family businesses had never depended on the presence of the three of them.
Anton did not bother and just went back to rotting on his bed while watching the Friends sitcom.
