As soon as he entered the water, a soft “Gulu Gulu” sound reached his ears… Yet, at the sa ti, Ling Mo felt an unusual silence. All other sounds were muffled by the water, leaving only the noises from within his own body distinctly audible. In this setting, he beca acutely aware of his own existence, the true self hidden within the Zombie Puppet’s mind.
This sensation was rather peculiar, and if possible, Ling Mo would prefer not to experience it so intensely.
After crawling a short distance, he cautiously released one hand and turned to look toward the bottom of the pool-
“It’s so dark!”
Though he had ntally prepared himself beforehand, the reality still exceeded his expectations. In close proximity, it was manageable, but as he looked further and deeper, all he could see was darkness. It wasn’t just dark; it felt oppressively so, as if the darkness was slowly pressing in on him.
Clearly, his plan to observe from a safe distance had failed. Muttering to himself, Ling Mo decisively continued to crawl toward the bottom of the pool. Rather than wasting ti here, it was better to reach the bottom while he still had enough air…
In fact, compared to humans, Zombies have an exceptionally strong ability to hold their breath. Their breathing rate is naturally low, and when they inhale, they can draw in more air due to their greater lung capacity, allowing them to hold their breath for longer periods. Despite this, moving underwater filled Ling Mo with unease, and as he got closer to the pool’s bottom, this feeling only intensified.
“Wait… this scene seems familiar…”
Ling Mo looked down again, and after a mont of hesitation, he suddenly realized, “Right! The main body is facing a similar environnt!” The passage the main body was dealing with was just like this pool! There was nothing visibly special, yet his vision was affected… It wasn’t the water that was dark, but sothing within it…
“So, this is another special area?” Ling Mo frowned.
This was unexpected… The best course of action now would probably be to turn back promptly…
“But…”
Ling Mo hesitated as he gazed at the pool’s bottom. Should he pin all his hopes on the decoy, or should he see for himself? Moreover, this was a pool, and even if it was a special area, what he found might not be the sa as what was in the passage…

At that mont, Ling Mo’s body suddenly froze. Though faint, he distinctly felt it… A ripple of water had just spread toward him from behind… Gentle, yet unmistakable!
In less than a tenth of a second, Ling Mo reacted sharply. Sothing was behind him! Without needing to turn, he knew sothing was approaching. The fact that he could feel the water’s movent ant it was quite close…
Instinctively, he twisted his body and swung his right arm backward with all his might!
“Huh? What’s going on?”
Nothing? Not a Creature, not even a phantom… The surroundings remained calm, the darkness impenetrable…
“This can’t be!”
Ling Mo reflexively touched the Zombie Puppet’s back… The sensation just now didn’t feel like an illusion…
He had been ready for a fight, but finding no enemy only made him feel more oppressed… Was it because his counterattack had been detected? If so, the adversary must be lurking nearby…
“Keep going!”
A second later, Ling Mo gritted his teeth and made his decision.
The pool felt eerie, but the more it did, the more it suggested sothing was there…

At the sa ti, near the building’s entrance.
A pair of hands struggled to roll up a carpet, and as it slowly covered the tunnel entrance, the figure collapsed to the ground.
“Huff… huff…”
After catching his breath, he struggled to rise, turning to look into the depths of the passage.
“Hehehe…” In the silence, he suddenly let out a strange laugh, his hands clawing at the air, “Damn it, damn it! Damn it!” He grabbed a handful of dirt and flung it, cursing under his breath, “You tricked ! I almost thought you escaped… But no, you ca down here…”
“Snap!”
With a soft sound, a Fla flickered in the darkness, illuminating a face twisted with madness.
Tang Hao stared at the Fla, then chuckled again, “Covered your tracks well, moved the plasma… But I still have the upper hand, more than you…”
In the flickering light, he slowly stood, then clutched his stomach with a pained expression. Yet amidst the pain, a sinister smile crept across his face, chilling to behold.
“No… not yet… I won’t beco a Zombie…” he murmured a few seconds later, “Is that why that kid didn’t kill ? To watch mutate in agony… The more severe the injury, the more active the virus, everyone knows that… But I won’t… At this point, I can take a gamble…”
Not far along, he suddenly stumbled forward, extinguishing the lighter.
In the pitch-black environnt, his eyes glinted faintly with a Red Glimr, and amidst low laughter, he crawled forward on all fours…
“Ling Mo, wait for … Don’t die before I get there…”

“Hmm?”
In the passage, Ling Mo’s main body suddenly raised an eyebrow.
“What is it?” Xu Shuhan imdiately turned her head, sensing sothing, “Is it…”
Ling Mo’s expression turned serious, raising a hand as he whispered, “Get ready…”
“Is there really sothing happening?” Xu Shuhan tensed up, knowing Ling Mo’s psychic power extended into the darkness. Though only the Monster and the Mobile Phone had entered, as the one controlling them, Ling Mo wasn’t entirely safe…
So while Ling Mo was focused, Xu Shuhan’s heart was filled with anxiety.
But before Ling Mo could give the next instruction, a sharp cry suddenly pierced the darkness: “Ah!”
Simultaneously, Ling Mo yanked his hand back.
“Whoosh!”
Two Dark Shadows flew out almost simultaneously, one caught by Ling Mo, the other landing at Xu Shuhan’s feet.
She was on guard against the darkness, instinctively ready to kick, but was startled when she realized what it was.
“What is this!”
What landed wasn’t anything else but the head of the “Giant God Warrior”… and what Ling Mo caught was the Mobile Phone…
She gasped, then heard Ling Mo shout, “Go!”
As soon as Ling Mo spoke, a bizarre sound echoed from the passage… like countless centipedes rushing toward them, and before they could be seen, the black fog began swirling ominously.
“Ah…”
Xu Shuhan was startled by the sudden change. Just by looking at the scene and Ling Mo’s grim expression, she knew they were in trouble…
“Hand!”
She shouted, grabbing Ling Mo’s wrist. As their figures blurred, they vanished from the spot… And less than a second after they left, the spot they had stood on was engulfed by the swirling black fog…
“Rustle rustle rustle…”
In the pitch-blackness, the dense, eerie sounds pursued them relentlessly…
