["I’M really sorry, Hee-ya. An ergency ca up, so I have to go now. Enjoy your dinner with Soobin."]

That was what Semi told Wonhee.

["Wonhee-ya, I’ll hurry back to you."]

And that was what Yejun said to her.

After that, Semi and Yejun left Wonhee in Soobin’s care.

[I’m sure soone is up with the Big 4 again since I saw Unnie and Yejun leave with Graham-ssi and Song Moonho-ssi.]

"Hee-ya, are you worried about the Big 4?"

"Yes, Oppa," Wonhee said in response to Soobin’s question. "Is our country in danger again?"

She saw Semi talk to Soobin when they arrived at the Sarang-hee Hotel earlier.

Yes, they were at the hotel she owned.

To be precise, they were having dinner at Raon– the high-end restaurant situated on the 93rd floor of the Sarang-hee Hotel known for its fusion of Korean and European cuisine.

Wonhee didn’t want soone to interrupt their dinner just like what happened when she brought her grandfather, so she reserved the private lounge this ti. Hence, she and Soobin could enjoy their privacy.

[Fortunately, the atmosphere isn’t awkward.]

Since she was there to make up with her older brother, Ahyeon was in the normal area of the restaurant— having his dinner with Lee Cheong-san (Soobin’s right-hand man). Apparently, Geon was busy so he couldn’t accompany Soobin.

"We’ll know if our country is in danger once they return," Soobin said calmly while cutting his perfectly charred lamb marinated in doen-jang (bean paste) with his steak knife. "But, to be fair, the fact that the #2 World Ranker entered Korea secretly is troubling."

Wonhee almost choked on the piece of lt-in-your-mouth charred Korean beef glazed in truffle sauce that she just had. "T-The #2 World Ranker?"

"Don’t worry, Hee-ya. That guy has monstrous strength, and he’s a bit weird, but he’s not the type to pick a fight. Who knows? Maybe he’s just here to visit and experience the Korean culture."

"Is the #2 World Ranker that chill, Oppa?"

"Yeah. He went to Vietnam last month and caused a commotion just to eat Pho. Now the old restaurant where he got his Pho beca a hot place there."

"Are you keeping track of the World Rankers’ movents, Oppa?"

"No— the #2 is just... everywhere."

That was a relief.

Wonhee wondered why the Big 4 had to leave if the #2 World Ranker wasn’t there to pick a fight, but she realized Soobin was just as clueless as her.

[I’ll just ask Yejun later.]

"Hee-ya."

"Yes, Oppa?"

"I’m sorry," Soobin said sincerely. "I’m sorry for trying to force you to sacrifice your friend."

Okay, Wonhee got emotional right away. "Oppa, I’m also sorry for being selfish."

"It’s alright, Hee-ya. You can do whatever you want. We’ll take care of the consequences."

Aww.

Her older brother said the sa thing her older sister did.

[They really love . I can’t believe I doubted their love for for a mont.]

Wonhee stood up and hugged her older brother from behind. "Oppa, thank you."

Soobin chuckled and gently patted her arms. "Anything for you, Hee-ya."

"I JUST ca here to eat tanghulu."

Tanghulu aka candied fruit snack.

Yejun looked at N, the #2 World Ranker whom they caught in Namsan Tower, with dead eyes.

[It looks like he’s telling the truth.]

N was holding a strawberry tanghulu in the right hand and a kiwi tanghulu in the left hand. The smudges around his mouth suggested that he already had so of the candied snacks.

The dude was 190cm tall and toned, but his innocent face made him look friendly.

Like a giant teddy bear.

[This dude is really eccentric.]

"Hyung, your Korean is good," Graham praised the World Ranker, but his eyes were focused on N’s strawberry tanghulu. "Did you study Hangul before you ca here?"

"I have this wonderful ability that allows to learn any language I want. And, like I said earlier, I’m only here to get so viral snacks while enjoying a quiet vacation," N said casually. His Korean was good, but the way he spoke was informal. But nobody complained since N was still a foreigner. "Graham, do you want this?"

"Yes, Hyung," Graham said, politely receiving the strawberry tanghulu from the World Ranker. "Thank you."

Semi offered her handkerchief to N with a disapproving look on her face. "Here. You need this."

"Oh," N said, receiving the handkerchief from Semi. Then he used it to wipe his face. "Thank you, Semi."

"Are you just really here to play?" Song Moonho asked while crossing his arms over his chest. "N-ssi, you do know that UAN recently sent so World Rankers to steal Chu Wonhee from our small country, right?"

N laughed but the sharp glint in his eyes gave everyone the chills. "Do I look like soone UAN could order around?"

Graham, Semi, and even Song Moonho unconsciously took a step backwards.

Only Yejun remained on his spot and talked back to the World Ranker. "Yeah, you look like soone who’s easy to bribe."

Graham, Semi, and Song Moonho all turned to Yejun as if they were asking him if he had gone mad.

[Well, I have.]

Yejun ignored his fellow mbers and continued talking to N. "Although I can tell that you’re enjoying your snacks, I have a feeling that you lured us here. If you were just here to enjoy a quiet vacation, you wouldn’t let my cousins see you. It’s not like I’m underestimating them— I just know that if you didn’t want anyone to find you, then no one would."

"Hwang Yejun, UAN was out of their mind when they removed you from the Top 10," N said, smiling and nodding approvingly towards Yejun as if he acknowledged him or sothing. "I ca here when I heard that you’ve recovered. Well, I can see that you’re better now than the last ti I saw you a year ago. But that’s still not enough."

"Not enough for what?"

"For us to talk about the ’future.’"

Oh.

Yejun imdiately got what N was trying to say.

Semi who knew Wonhee’s birth secret, and Song Moonho who rembered the previous world on his own because of his sensitive senses, also got N’s ssage.

Only Graham looked confused.

[See? This is why I can’t be treated like the youngest.]

"Don’t worry about that," Yejun said confidently. "I already have Wonhee, so it’s only a matter of ti before I reach my maximum potential."

"I believe in you," N said, even clenching his hand. "Fighting, Hwang Yejun."

[This dude even picked up a slang...]

"So far, this world is more fun than the others."

Hmm?

Yejun and the others noticed that N was saying sothing strange.

[It’s as if he’s hinting that there are other worlds out there that he could see.]

"But that world where Guides no longer exist also looks fun at the mont~"1

Yejun knitted his eyebrows. "A world without Guides?"

"A dood world without Guides exists," N said, smiling. "And I guess this world will follow the ’trend’ soon."

Yejun glared at the World Ranker. "Are you saying that the Guides in this world will perish soon?"

"No, of course not," N said, laughing softly while shaking his head. "Why do you look surprised? Isn’t it Chu Wonhee’s goal to ’get rid’ of the ’old way’ the Guides to their jobs?"

Oh, right.

[Wonhee hates that Guides have to give Hunters sexual pleasure.]

"This world listens to Chu Wonhee well," N said cheerfully. "But be careful, Big 4— you are the main characters of this world, so the Final Boss will appear in this small country."

Ah.

[That’s the only reason he ca here?]

"Why are you worried about our business?" Semi asked, scoffing. "If the Final Boss will appear in Korea, then we’ll take care of it."

N laughed again. "I know that, and that’s why I ca in advance. After all, once the grueso battle begins, it will be impossible even for to enter Korea in secret. So, I’m greeting you now. I hope you make the fight interesting. The more fun our world turns out to be, the more ’points’ they’ll give us."

Yejun knitted his eyebrows. "And what exactly do you an by that?"

***

BLOOD MANIPULATION Technique.

Lee Seodam rembered that it was Song Sunho’s main ability.

Well, to be honest, the Autumn Guild’s Vice Guildmaster rarely fought or entered dungeons. Hence, his skills weren’t that well known to the public that much.

Except for his ability to control blood.

[This is the first ti I’ll see it in person.]

Hence, Seodam was thrilled.

Song Sunho coughed up blood, and then he raised his hand as if he was trying to control it or turn it into a weapon— the way he usually did.

However...

"What happened?" Kunwoo, who looked impatient while waiting for Song Sunho’s attack, asked curiously. "You can’t control your blood?"

Song Sunho looked shocked by Kunwoo’s question, and then he stepped back while looking at his bloody, trembling hands. "N-No, this can’t be..."

"Oh, you really can’t?" Kunwoo asked, laughing while drawing his sword. He was one of the few Hunters who was nad a ’Swordmaster’ in the modern era. And he chose that weapon because he liked cutting limbs. "Song Sunho, did you lose your abilities as a Hunter?"

Song Sunho looked confused.

Seodam, on the other hand, had a chill down his spine because he suddenly saw himself in Song Sunho’s powerless form since all his abilities kept dropping levels.

[No, I can’t be like him...]

"You really did, huh?" Kunwoo asked, laughing out loud. "I wonder where your abilities have gone to~"

***

LEE SEORIN, who was sitting on the chair next to Lee Seojin’s hospital bed, suddenly got up and scread when her baby brother suddenly coughed up blood.

A huge chunk of blood, to be precise.

"Doctor!" Seorin yelled while pressing the ergency bell. "Please check on my brother...!"
