Damian found himself at the center of the road, where many cars were scattered around. So had ramd into each other, so into light poles, and others into nearby walls. Yet there were no casualties. Honking sounds, accompanied by loud chatter and confusion, filled the area, worsening his already fragile condition.

After the fight, Damian felt drained and lightheaded. He was certain he was about to pass out. His vision was blurry, and all the chaos seed distant despite being so close. His body wobbled left and right as he struggled to remain upright. His hair and clothes were disheveled and ssy. If he had not coated them in demonic aura throughout the fight, he would have been standing butt naked in the street right now.

Damian staggered away with great effort, heading toward the Blacksheep firm building. As promised, Duke Haborym had died for three points of his soul, and by the ti the Abyss relinquished control of his body, Corbin and Linda were gone. In fact, it was better for him that they were gone, since he certainly had no ans of fighting them in this condition.

Damian staggered all the way to the underground parking lot. He struggled toward his car and tried to open the door, but it was locked. Damian leaned on the vehicle for support as he patted himself in search of his keys, but there were none. Then he rembered they were in his blazer, the sa blazer he had placed over Clara.

Blegh!

Damian crouched over and began vomiting his breakfast. He had no internal or external injuries, yet he was in terrible condition. After vomiting, he sat on the floor beside the car and leaned back against it while thick beads of sweat ran down his face. Damian decided to remain there in the dark parking lot and catch his breath.

It took so effort, but he began regulating his breathing. However, seconds later, he heard approaching footsteps. His vision was slightly better now, but he was still too weak to move. He waited until a figure dressed in a black hoodie and face mask appeared around the corner, glancing at him with visible surprise in his eyes.

Damian’s blurred vision made it impossible to see this person’s face, so he could not recognize him. However, the person recognized him perfectly.

"I don’t know what happened to you and I don’t care. You still have to die for ruining my life," Adrian’s voice rang out from beneath the hoodie.

Damian turned his face to get a better look at the man. He struggled, but managed to call out his na.

"Adrian?"

Adrian frowned and quickly pulled a gun from his pocket, pointing it at Damian. He heard the sound of Adrian cocking the gun, yet his heart remained calm and he was too tired to react. He simply stared at the figure with a blank expression, wondering how ironic it was to survive a fight between angels, demons, and priests only to be killed by a gun.

Adrian, on the other hand, pointed the gun at Damian, but his initial confidence vanished. He was not sure why. Was it because of how pitiful Damian looked now, or was he simply a coward?

Because of Damian, he had lost his job and his girl, so why was he hesitating to kill him?

Sensing Adrian’s hesitation, Damian began letting out a hollow laugh.

"Did you really dress up and co out here to kill a man without the conviction to see it through?" His voice dripped with mockery.

"Shut up!" Adrian growled at him, but this only made Damian laugh harder. How could he not laugh at this pitiful attempt?

This very man had ruined his life when he stole his fiancée, and now he thought he had the right to point a gun at him for losing his job over a fight he started. Damian was not having it.

Damian reached for his car door and, using it as leverage, began struggling to get to his feet.

"Stay down!" Adrian growled, his hands shaking, but his words drowned under Damian’s amused laughter.

He pulled himself up to his feet, swaying back and forth while staring at the blurred figure standing before him with a gun. With his superior strength, all he needed was to get his hand on Adrian’s neck. All he needed was a little squeeze to snap it.

Damian had already given Adrian and Candice enough chances to live their lives peacefully despite what they did to him, but sohow they kept coming back, blaming him for problems they created. Never again. Today he would kill Adrian and Candice and put an end to their unfortunate entanglent.

"Bastard do you really think I won’t shoot?!!!" Adrian roared at the top of his voice with a shaky hand as Damian took the first step forward.

However, his words fell on deaf ears as Damian kept staggering forward with a murderous gleam in his eyes.

Upon his fourth step, a loud gunshot rang through the underground parking lot, and monts later, Adrian ran out of the parking lot with both hands shoved into his pockets and his head lowered.

anwhile...

Hazel, Racheal, and Ruby lay on Damian’s bed, staring at the ceiling with worried expressions. The problem they had with Damian was one they did not have a solution to, because they knew they were wrong.

It was just as Damian had said. They truly saw him as a mortal with little experience. That was why they did not think he would always make the best decisions, so they kept certain information to themselves.

However, the matter concerning his inability to have children was different. They had truly forgotten to tell him, mostly because it was natural. The mont he gained the Sin of Lust, even without the power of faith or fear, he would beco a god. As such, the universe had already placed certain restrictions on him.

If gods could bear children without restraint, what would stop them from wiping out humans and replacing them with loyal offspring of their own, beings who would pray to them and obey them regardless?

There were ans by which a god could bear a child. It took ti and it was difficult, so they assud that when the ti ca and Damian truly needed an offspring, they would reveal these things to him.

But why did they have to wait until then?

Why did they not just tell him right away?

"We have to apologize tonight." Hazel sat up, worry written all over her expression.

She had seen Damian angry several tis, but this ti was different. This one broke him. It did not just anger him.

Peng!

Suddenly all three of them felt a painful jolt in their chests, causing them to clutch tightly at their hearts. Their faces twisted in pain at first, but what followed next was fear and horror.

This was the sa pain they had felt the very day Lin Qui and the Demon Lord died.

They vanished in bursts of flas and appeared in the underground parking lot, right in front of Damian’s car. He was lying on the floor, in a puddle of his own blood
