"My eyes, my eyes!"
Watching the figure rolling on the ground, completely devoid of the eerie stance from just a mont ago, Xu Xiaoyou looked puzzled.
The female ghost’s figure struggled and then stopped moving. Soon, a strange giggle ca from her mouth.
Dry long hair floated up, a white dress skirt fluttering wildly as if blown by so mysterious wind, pale hands with veins showing bluish-purple, and the whole person just floated in the air, her aura was captivating!
"I died so unjustly... I died so miserably in this apartnt... Give back my life, give back my life!"
Xu Xiaoyou: "Anya, bite her."
"Woof woof!"
Anya imdiately pounced, pulling down the supernatural figure in mid-air, her small body pressing on top of the female ghost, using her young teeth to bite into her body and tear with the strength of her head and neck; this was a common tactic used by canine animals when dealing with prey, an instinct for hunting etched in their genes.
"Stop biting, stop! I was wrong, I was wrong, this ti I’m really wrong!"
In no ti, the female ghost begged for rcy in a painful whine, rolling around on the ground. Anya glanced at Xu Xiaoyou and, after receiving a nod, finally let go of the female ghost’s head.
"Is this little creature part dog? Biting people so painfully, my hair’s almost been torn off!"
While complaining, the female ghost adjusted her hair. Just as she looked up, a dark gun barrel was pressed against her forehead. She was so scared she raised her hands, gulping continuously.
"Please, don’t shoot!"
"I’ll give you one minute to explain why you’re in my apartnt room," Xu Xiaoyou said coldly.
"I was the previous owner of this apartnt, my na is Lin Ran, I’ve already died!" the female ghost shouted. "I hung myself in the room you just napped in over ten days ago, and when I reopened my eyes, I was like this!"
The female ghost paused, then continued:
"My body beca so light, as if I could float, I thought I had gained so superpower, but when I saw my body hanging in mid-air, I realized I was already dead."
"I watched the cleaning crew take my body down and out, then clean the room entirely. The whole place beca brand new, as if nothing happened, and my existence was subtly erased from this world!"
"I thought it was good this way, at least I wouldn’t have to worry about a miserable life anymore, no need to go to work anymore. You have no idea how excited I was, sob sob sob."
"A bizarre creature?" Xu Xiaoyou had co to a judgnt on the female ghost claiming to be Lin Ran.
Bizarre creatures, no one can explain why they exist in this world, nor can anyone explain how they appear out of nowhere.
It’s only known that they are usually born from people’s imaginative fantasies, similar to the Dream-Walking Fish which is a beautiful fantasy, or ’The Ring’, born from the fear of receiving a phone call at midnight.
This range of birth is very broad, often broad enough that a very insignificant little thing can give rise to so bizarre creature, like when you feel distressed in the bathroom because of not being able to go smoothly, a restroom genie suddenly appears, letting you have a relieve with delight, even dehydrating you.
The probability of encountering the birth of a bizarre creature in everyday life is very small, and the probability of a bizarre creature being born in a Nest City is usually related to the city’s ’Engel’s Coefficient’.
Engel’s Coefficient, also known as the happiness index, when people’s lives in a Nest City beco better, and their spirits more abundant, the probability of bizarre creatures being born will increase exponentially.
Conversely, the more backward and chaotic a Nest City is, where even having enough to eat becos a daily challenge, and the people’s spirit is extrely impoverished and poor, the probability of bizarre creatures being born will drastically decrease.

Unexpectedly, a bizarre creature could be found in her newly moved apartnt.
"So, you’re saying, you’re the forr owner of this apartnt?" Xu Xiaoyou asked.
"Uh-huh. I’ve been in this house for several days." Lin Ran said, producing an elastic band from sowhere, sitting cross-legged on the ground, pulling back the hair covering her face, and tying it into a ponytail. "You have no idea how bored I’ve been these days, I’m almost stifled! When I saw you guys suddenly show up today, I got so excited, hahaha, I thought I’d scare you a bit."
"I should’ve just hidden at the start."
Once her ponytail was tied, Lin Ran’s dim eyes beca clear again, her sharp nails retracted into her flesh, and apart from so paleness in her skin, she looked almost no different from a normal girl.
"You can’t get out?" Xu Xiaoyou asked.
"Yes, I thought I was completely free now, no need to be miserable anymore, only to find out I couldn’t even get out the door."
With that, Lin Ran, in front of Xu Xiaoyou’s eyes, floated towards the door, attempting to leave, only to float back from the direction of the bedroom not long after.
"See, every ti I try to leave the house, I end up back in the bedroom, I’m trapped in this house."
"Sigh... I thought life was getting better, didn’t expect it to be even more miserable than before. Now, dying isn’t an option anymore." Lin Ran shrugged and sighed.
"Hmm..." Xu Xiaoyou found herself deep in thought.
Lin Ran kept stealthily observing Xu Xiaoyou, discovering that the expression on her small face hadn’t changed at all, sothing that left her a bit disappointed.
The other had just napped in the very room where she had hanged herself! This was a haunted house! Is this all the reaction?
She beca curious about the girl in front of her.
"So, do you have any traits?"
"Traits?" Lin Ran was puzzled, then showed a look of sudden realization. "Oh~ I know what you’re talking about! I’m just like an earth-bound spirit now, if my resentnt isn’t resolved, I’ll stay in this house forever!"
Seeing she thought of sothing, Lin Ran placed her hands on her hips and raised a finger.
"Ahem! I am now the earth-bound spirit female ghost Lin Ran, listen up, I’m assigning you a task, and if you don’t complete it, I’ll stick to you in this apartnt just like chewing gum!"
"Wouldn’t that be nice? Why help you resolve the resentnt?" Xu Xiaoyou said. "You pose no threat to us."
Lin Ran paused: "I... I, I’m very chatty, I’ll talk you to death, not letting you sleep."
"Just right, the house needs a babysitter, taking out trash, sweeping, cooking, those kind of things, looking after kids, really troubleso you know."
Lin Ran was totally dumbfounded, looking at Xu Xiaoyou, who said sothing so crazy with a straight face, in disbelief, even fear.
The girl realized the seriousness of the situation.
Seemingly, she was serious! How could she say such insane things with such a calm face, pretty as she was?
What kind of international joke is this!? Lin Ran raged internally. Her life was already quite miserable when she was alive, getting extorted by her company every day, and she was to be extorted in death too?
"I am a female ghost, an earth-bound spirit, making do such things, is not okay."
"It’s okay, really."
"Um, um, you’re joking, right, hahaha."
Lin Ran felt less and less confident as she spoke, seeing the expression on Xu Xiaoyou’s small face as if she wouldn’t do it, she’d be threatened with so terrifying and shaful thods.
