Savina kept a stern face and did not speak.

"This can’t go on. Do you want to leave here in the future?"

Savina nodded.

"If you want to leave here, you can’t always stay in your own small world..."

"I’ve morized everything in the textbooks, the history books, and all that music theory. I just hate interacting with peers."

"Even on my own, I can do better than them."

Savina said, burying her head deeper, her voice becoming faint.

"Why do they all bully ?"

"I clearly didn’t do anything wrong."

"Can I really leave here, Sister Sevia?"

"The teachers all say that the world I see is different from everyone else’s. Every ti I ask them this question, they always shake their heads, not answering ."

Once the grievances in her heart found a vent, they were like a budding seed that beca unstoppable, as if all her bitterness had to be poured out to a girl who was so similar to herself.

Similar and yet lonely people will always form a subtle connection on this parallel line of fate. At the mont of intersection, past experiences shatter into countless fragnts of mory mirrors, presented before the girl’s eyes.

The past of being mocked, ostracized, and isolated was vividly rembered. Flowers were always well cared for, while wild grass, in order to gain sunlight, grew lonely and deford in a corner, unnoticed even when its shape beca crooked, until one day the soil beneath it was scraped away.

The children from the Foster Ho gathered around that beautiful iris. Tang Xin embraced the girl in her arms, but her gaze fell under a large rock, seeing a deford wild grass perseveringly squeezing through the cracks between the stones, crawling towards the light.

Tang Xin didn’t know how to comfort Savina, just as she didn’t know how to comfort herself many years ago.

The other suffered from an extrely rare form of color blindness. From the mont she was born, she was abandoned by her family, thrown into this secluded corner of the world, without even a na. The na ’Savina’ was given to this little girl by Dean Elia.

"Why do they say I see the world differently from everyone else, isn’t it all black and white?"

"Why do we see a black-and-white world, yet outside they distinguish colors with different shades of black and white, and impose such strict requirents on us?"

"Did we do sothing wrong, why are we treated as societal anomalies from birth?"

Savina wailed in Tang Xin’s arms, venting the grievances suppressed in her heart. Until her throat was hoarse from crying, her little face streaked with tears, she could no longer utter a complete sentence.

After a long ti, Savina asked with a hoarse voice:

"Sister Sevia, do we still have a future?"

After many years, Tang Xin recalled the question she raised back then.

Why does life cry?

She had a new answer to this question.

No one can asure what is the right thing to do; all so-called rules and order are built on the absurd frawork of a common consciousness.

Everyone is a lonely individual, and because of their own choices, they differ from society and bear responsibility for their choices, regardless of right or wrong.

So people are born on the mountaintop, enjoying wealth and more choices, while so are born in a gray world, with not even a hint of color, yet are harshly judged and criticized by the outside world, though they clearly don’t have the sa choices.

Why does life cry?

She thinks it’s because one is unwilling to face the injustice of fate.

"Children, co over, let’s take a picture together." Ince, having organized the film, ca over and clapped his hands loudly.

A few mischievous boys still hung on him. After a short period of simple interaction, he managed to integrate himself into the boys’ group.

Ince was very skilled at dealing with children, using a humorous way of speaking, successfully blending in with the kids here.

But upon seeing the cara in the man’s hand, the initially lively and joyful children suddenly paused, their confused little faces staring blankly.

Even a boy who was initially close to Ince silently put down the ball in his hand, taking two steps back.

"What’s wrong?" Ince was utterly perplexed.

"That big black box, will it hurt us?" Finally, an older child voiced their inner concern.

"How could that be, my little fellows, this isn’t a gun, how would..." Ince instinctively blurted out these words, but upon seeing the confusion and worry on the children’s gray little faces, the latter half of his sentence got swallowed back.

Would this cara truly not hurt these kids?

[: Haha, look at their dirty little faces.]

[: They’re so filthy, you can almost sll the stench through the photo.]

[: So unlucky, seeing soone from the Piano Key District first thing in the morning, hope their illness doesn’t spread to . I definitely don’t want to be colorless and beco a monster.]

[: Their eyes are black and shiny, must be full of devious thoughts.]

[: They look like they’d steal sothing.]

Ince could imagine the sounds people would make when these photos were posted on the curtain and the kind of sharp and unpleasant words the children might never hear in their lifeti.

But, just as they asked, would this truly not hurt them?

The cara lens is not a gun muzzle, but who can guarantee that these baseless malice wouldn’t harm their young hearts like bullets?

The atmosphere fell silent, and the children looked at each other with taut faces.

Still, it was Tang Xin who stepped in front of the children, and under countless pairs of black shiny eyes, spoke her mind without reservation.

Upon learning about the outside world’s attitude towards them, the children collectively fell into silence, so paled, so beca numb, and so softly sobbed.

Growing up in such a place, these young ones vaguely recognized the harsh reality.

"I can’t guarantee whether this will hurt you, but I respect your decision."

"Will this help Sister Xiaotang?"

At this mont, soone in the crowd asked awkwardly.

The children’s eyes suddenly lit up, brighter than before.

Dozens of bright gazes focused on Tang Xin. If colors were involved, this scene would be vibrant and colorful.

Tang Xin couldn’t speak for a mont, finally nodding lightly.

"Then I am willing!"

"Uh-huh, too!"

"As long as it helps Sister Xiaotang, it doesn’t matter."

The children nodded in agreent, voluntarily standing together. Even the tiny silhouettes shrinking at the edge of the crowd were moved, eting the myriad bright gazes and choosing to join in.

In the distance, a blonde girl silently watched this scene. As the sa bright gazes appeared on different little faces, strings long sealed in her heart were plucked by invisible hands.

Many emotions she had deliberately forgotten erged with the tide on the shore, like shells emitting faint lights, waiting for soone to pick them up.

"3, 2, 1..."

"Wait a minute."

Xu Xiaoyou’s voice interrupted Ince’s countdown, and now everyone’s gaze turned to the blonde girl. The latter’s face was calm, she silently walked among the children and held the hand of the blue-haired girl.

"Let join too."

"Ah, it’s Sister Themia!"

"Doesn’t Sister Themia dislike taking pictures?"

"Great, I like Sister Themia the most!"

Ince nodded and started his countdown again, internally sighing that children’s innocence, although faint, could change many things.

A familiar warmth was transmitted from the palm, and that syllable rose to Tang Xin’s throat again. Feeling this warmth, the blonde girl was close at hand. Her peaceful eyes, like a nightti beach, were filled with scattered lights under the darkness, firmly moving her.

This ti, Tang Xin did not let go of Xu Xiaoyou’s hand, brushing back her hair, suppressing that passionate emotion, and looked towards the lens with the girl.

...

The photos were developed.

Ince held the photo in his hand, getting ready to admire what he considered the best photo of his career.

The next mont, a look of astonishnt climbed onto the man’s face.

The ’Themia’ in the photo clearly had a pair of amber and beautiful eyes.
