"Yeah, the buffering was really obvious when we were trying to watch a movie yesterday. I forced myself through half an episode, but who knew it'd be even worse today? It's a struggle just to download an app."
Jiangg Yao dialed the hotel's front desk to ask about it.
A gentle and patient female voice answered from the other end of the line:
"I'm very sorry, Miss. It might be an issue with the hotel's construction materials. We've had a lot of guests complain about it already, and we're constantly trying to resolve it."
"But you're supposed to be a high-end hotel. Isn't this an easy thing to fix?"

"Okay, I'll go check it out right now!"
Yaoyao's eyes lit up. She threw off the covers and shoved Chen Yuan, who was lying next to her.
"Get... get up! We have sothing to do now. No more being bored in here."
"Do what? Don't tell we have to go out."
Chen Yuan didn't even lift his eyelids, the picture of laziness. He had just gotten to a particularly steamy scene in his novel, and the corner of his mouth curled into a smirk.
He was completely engrossed.
"We're not going out. Co on, just get up..."
Yaoyao rolled over, sat on top of Chen Yuan, and forcefully pulled him up by his arm.
She pushed the reluctant Chen Yuan all the way into the walk-in closet.
She flipped on the light.
The walk-in closet, fragrant with the scent of fine wood, was instantly illuminated.
"What's so fun in here? Am I supposed to watch you play dress-up? There aren't even any clothes."

Leaning against a cabinet, Yaoyao felt around inside. She actually found a doorknob, twisted it with a bit of force, and pulled.
The next mont, a pitch-black room was revealed.
Chen Yuan blinked.
"A secret room?"
"No, silly, it's the gaming room. Go on, take a look..." Yaoyao glanced inside, but the pitch-black darkness, so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face, scared her a little. She retreated to hide behind Chen Yuan.
"Heh, what a scaredy-cat." Chen Yuan turned to look at the cowering Yaoyao and found it hilarious.
He strode into the gaming room and was imdiately swallowed by the darkness. Only the doorway remained illuminated by the light from the walk-in closet; nothing could be seen further inside...
Yaoyao's brow furrowed.
"Young Master?"
She called out, but there was no answer.
"Young Master! Don't you scare ... Where'd you go?"
Her voice was tinged with panic, but she still didn't dare to walk into the room. She just stomped her foot anxiously and kept calling out.
"Chen Yuan! Where are you? Did a monster eat you!?"
Yaoyao crept closer to the doorway and leaned against the fra. She swallowed hard, able to hear her own voice echo back.
But the room remained dead silent. There was no sound other than her echo.

Chen Yuan suddenly leaped out and grabbed her, deliberately lowering his voice into a monstrous growl. Yaoyao shuddered, and a piercing "AHHH!!!" shriek echoed through the suite. She squeezed her eyes shut, her body completely rigid.
She was frozen in place as if hit by a petrification spell.
"Bwahahahaha," a hearty laugh rang out.
But in the next second, Yaoyao viciously pinched Chen Yuan's cheek.

"Wow, this gaming room is pretty big. Look at all these snacks! The LED strips are gorgeous, and the chairs are super soft."
