"Senior Brother..." Sang Hanhai sat down respectfully. "I’m afraid I’m too dull to be of any help."

"Oh, you..." The old man chuckled. "Go on, what is it?"

"I’ve discovered a Celestial-Appointed Translator..." Sang Hanhai said.

"Oh?" The old man sounded a little surprised, but he quickly looked back down at the smooth Holy Word Stone in his hand. He seed to be pondering what thod he could possibly use to inscribe words on it. "It has been a while since one appeared. That’ll save us so effort."

A Celestial-Appointed Translator could only help decipher a single Holy Word Stone. An affair of this scale wasn’t enough to warrant his full attention.

Sang Hanhai’s eyes glinted, and his voice grew low. "A while ago, the Holy Word Stone he resonated with was fully deciphered. But when he ca in today, he actually resonated with another Holy Word Stone—one I’m currently working on."

"Hmm?" The old man’s head snapped up. His previously unfocused gaze instantly sharpened, becoming as keen as a hawk’s. "Sothing like that can happen?" he asked, astonished.

Sang Hanhai continued, "Could our teacher’s guess have been right? That the essence of a Celestial-Appointed Translator isn’t resonating with the profession, but with the Holy Word Stones themselves."

"Hmm..." The old man’s expression flickered. He pondered for a long ti before shaking his head. "Not the Holy Word Stones. They are essentially just stones made of a special material. If there’s resonance, it’s with the Divine Language."

"The Divine Language..." Sang Hanhai’s expression was dazed.

They were constantly excavating ruins, gathering all sorts of information. They would frequently propose a theory, only to have it swiftly overturned by another, which in turn would be overturned by the next.

The theory that Celestial-Appointed Translators might resonate with the essence of the Holy Word Stones was the one proposed by their teacher.

And the Divine Language theory was his senior brother’s. He believed that the symbols recorded on the Holy Word Stones, which appeared complex, were in reality just a passage or two of text.

They were simply written in the language of Divine Spirits.

The amount of information contained within the language of Divine Spirits was far too vast, and they could only use lower-level languages to analyze it. As a result, much of their effort was wasted.

If they could master the Divine Language, deciphering the Holy Word Stones would beco simple.

"Where is he?" the old man couldn’t help but ask, a hint of urgency in his voice.

"I sent him back."

"Back where?" The old man’s brow furrowed slightly.

Sang Hanhai knew his senior brother paid no mind to worldly affairs, focusing solely on his Divine Language research. He explained, "He was made a Core Seed of the Judicial Court this year by special exception. He has the Ink Jade Talent."

"Ink Jade Talent?" The old man was even more astonished, but his expression couldn’t help but beco excited. "Of course, I was right! The higher the Talent, the stronger the resonance with the Divine Language."

"Quick, bring him here!"

"Senior Brother..." Sang Hanhai gave a bitter smile. "He’s a Core Seed. If the Judicial Court finds out you want to pull him into your Divine Language research, even Chong Jingtian himself will co knocking."

"Besides," Sang Hanhai hesitated, then said, "he’s also Xia Hanshi’s student."

"Xia Hanshi..." Hearing Chong Jingtian’s na only made the old man’s expression tighten slightly, but at the ntion of Xia Hanshi, his face fell. "Is he still trying to save Ji Rou?"

"Su Chen is a Core Seed of the Judicial Court now, so Chong Jingtian should stop him." Sang Hanhai said hesitantly. "Even Xia Hanshi will have to be wary."

"He won’t be able to stop him!" the old man said grimly, then sighed with lancholy. "Forty years ago, I, Chong Jingtian, Xia Hanshi, and Ji Rou went out on an expedition."

"...In that strange ruin, we discovered the ’Do Light’. Unfortunately, Ji Rou was trapped inside while saving Xia Hanshi, who has been obsessed with it ever since."

Sang Hanhai remained silent, as he had long known of this matter. The Do Light ca from a strange ruin, and it had taken nearly twenty years to fully reverse-engineer it for gradual implentation.

And the Do Light was just one of the rewards from that place—and a common one at that.

But that ruin was extrely particular; only those with high Talent could enter. It was now jointly controlled by Ying Feng and three other cities, but over the years, they had only managed to retrieve a few fragnted objects.

"Since his connections are so complicated, we can only guide him patiently. Will he co back?" the old man asked.

"Yes." Sang Hanhai nodded. "He wants to acquire a special profession and will help decipher the Holy Word Stone in my hands to get it. He’ll be back."

"Excellent. Stick to your original plan. When more Holy Word Stones arrive, let him try again," the old man instructed. "At the sa ti, ntion the Divine Language and things of that nature to pique his interest."

"Understood." Sang Hanhai nodded. As he was about to stand up, he asked, "Should we find a chance to let him see that Stone Slab?"

It was another strange item from that sa ruin, carved with symbols like those on the Holy Word Stones, but its surface area was over ten tis larger than an ordinary one.

"Absolutely not." The old man shot him a look. "You took a half-glance at it and one of your eyeballs shattered, sothing even a High-tier Healer couldn’t restore. Just a selection of its symbols carved onto a Defense Spirit Ring is enough to keep Mutant Species away from Ying Feng for thousands of miles."

"That thing is too powerful. What Tier is he?"

Seeing Sang Hanhai hold up two fingers, the old man shook his head repeatedly. "He’d be lucky to have his corpse left in one piece. We’ll talk about it later."

...

’Why did Old Sang react so strangely?’

Outside the Translation Departnt, Su Chen had already boarded a Hovercar, still muttering to himself. ’Still, since they let leave, there shouldn’t be any trouble.’

’I’ve already revealed this characteristic of mine. If more Holy Word Stones show up in the future, he’ll definitely bring them to . And the Soldier Nurturer profession... not bad. A few more tis, and I should be able to get it.’

Having solved the problem of upgrading his weapons, Su Chen was in a good mood. He humd a little tune all the way back to the Judicial Court.

The round trip had only taken until noon, and an old acquaintance was waiting for him at the entrance.
