"The Judicial Court is still under lockdown, with patrols running twenty-four seven."

"Additionally, no Judge is permitted to leave the premises unless absolutely necessary. They must report to the Judgnt Departnt every morning and evening to be screened by the Believers."

Finally, Chong Jingtian added, "I’ll assign another team to you."

"Can Teng Liang be released?" Su Chen asked. "He’s dealt with ng Qi before. It might produce an unexpected result."

"An unexpected result..." Chong Jingtian chuckled, understanding Su Chen’s line of thought.

However, it had long been confird that there was sothing wrong with ng Qi. Teng Liang had been imprisoned for several months, and the commotion had mostly died down. It was probably fine to release him now.

"Then let him out," Chong Jingtian said, looking at Lei Tieyan, who nodded in agreent.

"Then I’ll go check the scene first..." Su Chen turned and headed for the research departnt.

Watching Su Chen leave, Chong Jingtian turned his gaze back to the ruined dical wing. ng Qi’s body was one thing, but Wei Yinsuo’s death also had to be figured out.

"Chief Judge..."

A Judge who had been sent out earlier by Lei Tieyan to survey the area returned and reported, "The nearby surveillance didn’t capture anything. A cara seven hundred ters from the dical wing was damaged about ten minutes before the explosion."

"We’re not sure if it was a coincidence."

"Didn’t you send soone to check on it?" Lei Tieyan frowned.

"We did, but by the ti the maintenance crew arrived, you were already here," the Judge said.

"Don’t count on those things." Chong Jingtian shook his head. He clearly wasn’t holding out much hope; surveillance caras weren’t living beings and couldn’t be detected with Spiritual Power, so a High-tier Professional could easily evade them.

Lei Tieyan knew that as well, but he was just trying his best to find any clue.

Before long, several more figures hurried back, led by none other than Xue Fei.

Staring at the dical wing, now almost a complete ruin, Xue Fei was dumbfounded.

’I was only gone for a mont, how did the dical wing end up like this?’

’Where’s that old guy Wei Yinsuo?’

As Xue Fei processed the scene, his body tensed. His vision darkened for a mont as Chong Jingtian and Lei Tieyan appeared before him.

"Chief Judge, what... what happened here?" Xue Fei asked urgently.

"I was about to ask you that. Why weren’t you here on guard duty?" Chong Jingtian’s voice was cold.

"Judge Wei told us to go and support you." Xue Fei’s mind was in turmoil, but he forced himself to remain calm and explained what had happened.

The few n behind him nodded repeatedly.

Lei Tieyan nodded to himself. It matched what Jiang Baorui had said, basically confirming that Wei Yinsuo had been the one to send them away.

’What on earth was he trying to do?’ Chong Jingtian couldn’t figure it out.

Wei Yinsuo’s motive was undoubtedly linked to the truth of his death.

"Who did he see today?" Lei Tieyan added.

"Before we left, he only saw He Kang and Xiao Ying," Xue Fei said hurriedly.

"Bring them here," Chong Jingtian ordered.

Before long, He Kang received the order and returned.

"The... the dical wing, how did it end up like this?" He Kang was also shocked, his thick eyebrows raised high.

"Why did you two co to see Judge Wei today?" Chong Jingtian asked.

"Today... today..." He Kang collected his thoughts. "It was mainly because Xiao Ying had been at ho for a while and hadn’t visited Judge Wei. I ca with him to pay a visit today."

"Just a visit?" Lei Tieyan’s gaze was sharp, as if it could pierce right into He Kang’s heart and dissect him whole.

"Yes..." He Kang nodded, forcing himself to go along. "But after I discovered the rift outside, I left on my own. Xiao Ying turned back to see Judge Wei again."

"He went back by himself?" Lei Tieyan looked at Xue Fei, who confird it.

"I wasn’t in the room at the ti, so I don’t know what they talked about..." Xue Fei’s throat bobbed.

"You don’t know?" Chong Jingtian’s expression was frosty. "You’re a Tier Five Professional. There was only a wall between you. If you wanted to listen, you couldn’t have missed it, could you?"

"I didn’t dare to listen," was all Xue Fei could say. He couldn’t very well admit that Xiao Ying and Wei Yinsuo had been discussing how to kill Su Chen.

"Why isn’t Xiao Ying here yet?" Chong Jingtian retracted his gaze and questioned a subordinate.

’Since Xue Fei won’t talk, there’s still the other person.’

"We can’t reach him." The subordinate tapped repeatedly on a virtual screen.

"Can’t reach him?" Lei Tieyan’s expression changed slightly. He exchanged a look with Chong Jingtian and quickly summoned the surveillance staff.

It was confird as expected: Xiao Ying had vanished without a trace after entering the area with the damaged surveillance cara.

Chong Jingtian’s face was as cold as ice. "I’m afraid he discovered sothing."

"Chief Judge, my uncle... what happened to him...?" Xue Fei couldn’t help but ask in a low voice.

"He’s dead," Chong Jingtian said coldly.

"De... dead?" A look of utter shock contorted Xue Fei’s features. He seed dazed, as if he’d been dealt a heavy blow.

"How could this be... How..."

Although Wei Yinsuo had been harsh with him, he was ultimately his backer.

Even though he was a Tier Five Professional, his potential was exhausted. He would never advance beyond this point. Without Wei Yinsuo’s protection, the rest of his days would be difficult.

His status wasn’t low, but the people he had offended were not of low status either.

"Xue Fei..." Lei Tieyan grabbed his shoulder. The sharp pain snapped him back to his senses, and he stared in horror at the "Iron-faced Chief Judge" before him.

"Co with ." Lei Tieyan gripped him and led him away. Xue Fei didn’t dare resist.

Chong Jingtian looked away. Just then, You Shan finished up what she was doing and returned.

After hearing Chong Jingtian’s account, her expression shifted from shock to gravity. After a mont of contemplation, she suddenly proposed a startling theory:

"Is it possible that Wei Yinsuo did all this so he could et with the person who infiltrated this place to snatch the body?"

Chong Jingtian couldn’t help but look at You Shan. She was middle-aged, wearing light makeup, but you could still see traces of her youthful beauty in her eyes and brow..

He couldn’t help but ask, "Are you saying Wei Yinsuo colluded with the Deceitful God Sect?"

"Jiang Shu Mo has been suspicious ever since he returned," You Shan explained. "This is just a theory, but the fact that Wei Yinsuo sent all his guards away is indeed very suspicious."

Shortly after, Lei Tieyan returned with a grim expression. Xue Fei followed behind him, head down, his steps unsteady.

With a wave of his hand, a Wind Barrier ford around them. Lei Tieyan shook his head and said, "He said it was about recruiting Wei Yinsuo to support Wei Yufan, and that it wasn’t connected to anything else."

Chong Jingtian frowned. Although not surprising, this ant the trail had gone cold again. They still didn’t know what Wei Yinsuo was ultimately trying to do.

He sighed. "Our only option is to find clues from the person who stole the body."

"Old Lei, You Shan..." Chong Jingtian said solemnly, "The two of you, keep a close watch on the Judicial Court from now on. Don’t let any clue slip by. Find that person as quickly as possible."

"Didn’t you give that task to Su Chen?" Lei Tieyan asked, confused.

Chong Jingtian shook his head. "It’s just to temper him. We can’t pin all our hopes on a kid, can we?"

’That’s true...’ The two of them nodded and accepted the order.

...

anwhile, Su Chen had arrived at the research departnt. This was the Judicial Court’s internal research facility, and it looked much more impressive and high-tech than the dical wing. It was now under heavy lockdown.

The incident had occurred on the seventh floor, where the bodies of several people in white lab coats lay scattered about.

"Did the research on the body turn up anything?" Su Chen asked, looking at the sweating, provisional head of the research departnt.

The departnt head explained, "All the data is normal. Nothing special."

Su Chen nodded, strolling through the lab as if he knew what he was doing.

"Sothing happen?"

A voice suddenly ca from behind him. Without even turning his head, Su Chen knew who it was.
