And that each ti it happens, stronger monsters appear on the surface...
The second wave of the Dungeon Stampede.
This deepened the world’s confusion further, plunging it toward chaos.
Among the countries most affected were the vast territories of African nations, OZ country, R country, and C country.
It’s fair to say that lands uninhabited by humans were almost completely taken over by monsters.
Especially in African nations, the refugee crisis caused by displaced residents is extraordinarily severe.
And then there’s C country, where a nuclear power plant disaster worsened things.
This led to river pollution and radioactive winds reaching R country causing relations between the two nations to deteriorate rapidly.
Even so, they remain adamant about not letting go of Sado Island.
Amid this global turmoil, another shocking event was caused by B country.
Just before the second wave of the Dungeon Stampede, B country applied for an international patent.
The patent was for a modified version of a circular motion extraction magic circle discovered by I country,
with whom B country had been negotiating its use.
According to the news, B country seems to have outright copied the magic circle they were shown for verification.
This provoked I country’s pri minister to rage, exclaiming, “Are you planning to exploit I country again!?”
In response, I country analyzed the circular motion extraction magic circle using their unique mathematical thods and religious diagrams and released it to the world as open-source technology.
This move not only thwarted B country’s dirty tactics but also sent a strong ssage encouraging the world to economically support I country.
This strategy worked brilliantly, earning widespread praise for I country.
I country’s reputation skyrocketed globally.
However, Japan, which had been drip-feeding information about recovery potions for its advantage, was caught in the fallout and faced backlash.
“Why are you acting selfishly when the world is in crisis?!”
Both B country and Japan were criticized and faced import restrictions from other nations.
Such is the state of global affairs.
Well, maybe it’s a silver lining. Aircraft carriers and air forces aren’t particularly effective against a Dungeon Stampede so their withdrawal sowhat eased tensions around the Asian islands and the Sea of Japan, albeit temporarily.
“Wow, so this is the circular motion extraction magic circle, huh?”
With diagrams already circulating online, I downloaded it.
The characters resemble those from a weapon enhancent scroll but the figures are entirely different.
“Coach, how does this work?”
“Well, according to the explanation, you place an object on the magic circle, engrave corresponding symbols, and set a magic stone in the energy supply section to start rotation.”
“Oh, so the object to be rotated also needs symbols engraved on it.”
“Seems so. It might be like how gears interlock.”
“How much power does it generate?”
“Hmm… I country’s announcent says you can just attach it to existing turbines at thermal or hydroelectric plants. But can it really work that easily?”
“If so, the power output might vary depending on the magic circle’s size.”
“Hmm, that’s a good point. Like how an engine’s displacent increases with its size.”

At first glance, it may not seem like a groundbreaking discovery,
but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Circular motion is deeply connected to human life.
For example, if this magic circle can be used in cars or motorcycles you could create vehicles without engines.
That ans magical motorcycles and magical cars.
And magical washing machines and magical hair dryers— the possibilities are endless.
Virtually any machine that uses engines or motors could be replaced by this magic circle.
“Hmm, thinking about it that way, this is incredible. Using magic stones as the power source ans no reliance on depleting resources like oil and zero CO2 emissions.”
“Yeah, it’s the dream of clean energy.”
Hmm… wasn’t nuclear power once hailed like that? Or am I imagining things?
Still, we don’t know how magic might affect the world.
Relying on it too much could be a problem.
But given the urgent need to address global warming,
an energy source with zero CO2 emissions is undeniably attractive.
“Will this choice lead to fortune or disaster…? Well, a simple guy like can’t possibly know.”
