Princeton was taken aback, surprisedly looking at her.
At that mont, he felt his daughter was so unfamiliar.
She wasn’t the obedient, sensible, and filial daughter he rembered anymore.
She was domineering, which was terrifying.
“Rebecca, how could you speak to and your dad like this,” Lady Patrice paused for a while, her face pale with a hint of anger.
Rebecca looked at her with a cold gaze, no respect in her eyes. The way she was looking at Lady Patrice was not like looking at her own mother, it was no different from how she treated the subordinates in the company.
This unfamiliar and cold gaze made Lady Patrice shiver inside.
She truly felt that this daughter of hers was like a new person.
Completely unfamiliar, which was terrifying.
At that mont, soone’s cell phone rang.
It was Rebecca’s phone.
She picked it up and glanced at the caller ID, furrowed her brows, and only answered it after a while.
Not long after she answered the call, Rebecca’s already unhappy face turned even worse.
Her grip on her phone tightened, looking as stormy as an impending storm, she suppressed her anger and growled, “What did you say? Why did she just leave? Did you not try to keep her there?”
“Dammit, you all need to go and stop her at the airport now. I’m heading over right away. We can’t let her leave no matter what,” she continued.
“If she leaves, you all don’t need to work in the company anymore.”
A while after, Rebecca ended the call with a grim face.
She just received a call from her assistant.
Apparently, Joel’s assistant suddenly decided to leave. No matter how much they tried to persuade her, she insisted on going back to Noviland.
The assistant was unable to retain her, so they had to call Rebecca.
After the call, Rebecca’s mood was at rock bottom.
She sort of regretted letting things with Diana Kinsman beco so sour.
How could she have forgotten?
It was because of Diana’s help that they managed to hire Joel in the first place.
Since she had a big fight with Diana, of course, Diana wouldn’t help her anymore.
Therefore, the sudden decision of Joel’s assistant to leave surely had sothing to do with Diana.
Though Diana’s actions did not surprise her.
However, she absolutely could not ss up anything related to Joel.
Right now, Joel was the ace up the sleeve for the Kelloway Group.
If handled well, it could help the Kelloway Group to get out of their current unfavorable situation.
The Kelloway Group had already lost several business deals.
And the stock market was being impacted.
The only chance to turn the tide now was to have Joel as a designer for a new line of jewellery.
“Rebecca, did sothing happen at the company?” Princeton asked worriedly, noticing her expression.
He was no longer involved in company affairs.
When he decided to leave the Kelloway Group to his daughter, he worried about whether she could manage things.
He didn’t expect that Rebecca perford much better than he had imagined.
Not only did she run the company efficiently, but she also managed to score several decent deals in a short ti.
Afterward, Princeton gradually felt relieved.
But now that the Kelloway Group was facing such a problem, he couldn’t help but worry.
“Yes, there’s a small issue. I need to go out imdiately,” Rebecca furrowed her brows, her face gloomy. After saying this, she quickly turned around and walked briskly towards the door.
Soon, her figure disappeared from the great hall.
Lady Patrice looked in the direction she left for a while until she could no longer see her, then slowly drew back her gaze.
“I wonder what actually happened.”
