He had never taken that long to reply to her before, even when he was busy.

Feeling uneasy, Joanna sent him another ssage.
Joanna: What are you doing?

"Hello, Ashton, where are you?" As soon as the call connected, Joanna asked right away.
"Baby, I’m outside. Aren’t you attending the Awards Ceremony? How do you have ti to call ?"
As she heard his voice, Joanna’s anxiety dissipated, finally able to relax a little.

"What about the second one." Joanna wasn’t going to let him off the hook so easily. "Your phone has battery now, right? You saw the ssage I just sent you, didn’t you?"
"Yeah, I saw it. But I was in the middle of replying to you when you called."
Joanna: "..."
"What about the first one? When your phone ran out of battery, why didn’t you reply to ?"
"I thought you were attending the Awards Ceremony and had put away your phone. That’s why I didn’t reply."
