If this is retribution, people must be quite satisfied with the punishnt these two received.
But whether it’s Annie Lawrence or David Benington, they are no longer of any importance to Joanna Lawrence.
Upon hearing about their current predicant, aside from surprise and astonishnt, Joanna felt nothing else.
She initially thought that with the downfall of the Benington family and Annie’s exit from the entertainnt industry, the two would have severed ties.

They are still entangled with each other.

Jeremy Lawrence sighed: "Even though I always despised Annie, for she isn’t the nicest of people. But if she did die, I don’t think I’d be happy. Joanna, do you think Annie will die?"
Upon hearing what Jeremy said, Joanna wasn’t upset.
Because she understood Jeremy’s feelings.
If Annie really died, she wouldn’t feel happy either.
She doesn’t like Annie.
But she doesn’t wish for Annie to die either.
After all, Annie was but a year younger than her, still very young.
"Do you want her to die?" Joanna asked in return.
Jeremy was silent for a while before whispering, "I can’t say. If she died, she wouldn’t be able to hurt you anymore, and I could finally be at ease. However, I don’t exactly wish for her to die..."
"Joanna, will you be upset with what I just said?"
"No," Joanna thought for a mont, then said, "In fact, we don’t really have any deep-seated resentnt with Annie. The worst thing she ever did was steal David away."
"But flies do not bite seamless eggs. If David weren’t so easily tempted, no matter what tricks she used, she couldn’t have taken him away. So when I initially found out she was going behind my back with David, my hatred for her wasn’t that deep. I only blad myself for being blind and wasting ten years not understanding the man by my side."

"Later on, I stopped hating David too. So now hearing their troubles, I just feel a little sigh. Even though I don’t like Annie, I equally don’t wish for her to die. But whether she lives or dies, it’s not sothing we can decide. It’s up to her luck."
"By the way, Jeremy, I heard you were involved in a fight at school. What happened?" Joanna wanted to shift the conversation away from Annie and David.
As far as she was concerned, whether it’s Annie or David, they were strangers to her now.

As for the rest, it had nothing to do with her, and she didn’t care.
She only cared about the people who truly matter to her.
"It’s nothing important, it’s been handled." Jeremy didn’t seem keen on further discussing the matter and casually brushed it off.
"But I heard it had sothing to do with Regina Kelloway." Joanna was not ready to let her brother off so easily, she said directly, "You fought because of Regina. You said it was not a big deal, but how did you end up sending soone to the hospital?"
Jeremy didn’t say anything.
Joanna continued, "Jeremy, do you plan to continue being entangled with her? With the state of affairs between the Heath family and the Kelloway family, neither the Heaths nor the Kelloways would approve of your relationship."
