Eventually Lady Fenyras stabbed the monster so many tis that its head was now separated from its body, and it was at that point that we knew it was actually dead; of course I knew because I got a notification that a '???' had been killed - and promptly awarded 6,500,000 xp - but we also knew it thanks to the red energy fading away instantly the mont its head was separated.
The monster began to disintegrate before we could even attempt to harvest anything from it, and even as I tore out one of its fangs in hopes of being able to take sothing from this battle besides experience I was left with nothing at all as it crumbled away a second later.
"Well... damn. That sucks."
Lady Fenyras didn't seem as saddened as I was at this turn of events, so I just glared at her before following her as she walked over to the egg, her natural swagger and confidence back as she sauntered on over to it, acting like we hadn't just been in a battle for our lives against sothing we had no knowledge about.
Honestly I was surprised that we had killed it that easily, but at the sa ti I had no idea what it was and if this was a fledgling - perhaps born from the egg we had found outside - or if it was just a weakened variant of this kind of monster that was basically just fodder.
We had no way of knowing which of those things was the truth at this mont in ti, and after glancing back at the now empty temple floor where its corpse had been I turned back and looked towards the Demon Wolf as she poked the egg, doing everything she was not supposed to be doing.
"Hey! For the love of..! You are just like a damn child!"
Swatting her hand away after rushing over to her, I glared at the older Wolfkin and put space between her and the egg, not wanting to do sothing stupid like having it awaken because she was prodding it like it was so danger-less object.
Instantly I regretted using that phrase against her, and it wasn't even because she got angry; instead, she just grinned at and lowered her voice, her words dripping with amusent and lust as she slowly whispered "Alright Mommy~!"
Drawing out each syllable of that to make as uncomfortable as possible, Lady Fenyras proceeded to make sure I knew she ant that it had been said in a sexual connotation as she added "Cause you certainly have the body to be a Mommy... Want to help with that?"
The mirth in her tone dropped towards the end of that, and her lust doubled as she stared down at with a more serious expression, sending a burst of heat throughout my body as I realized just how dangerous she was as a futanari.
Those muscles glead with the sweat and gri of the battle, while her silver eye shone with need as she looked up and down like I was a al to be devoured; when I looked away from her eye in an attempt to stop myself from heating up even more I was just greeted with the sight of her slowly getting hard, a firm, long outline in her pants letting know she was definitely capable of helping in that way.
Then there was her scent, which thickened the closer she got, sending flutters inside of my stomach as that overwhelming concoction got into a drunk state almost instantly, especially when paired with her low growl as she seed to get further into the mood.
That tattoo that crested my womb tingled in ways it had never tingled before, and I let out a reluctant moan as my body grew hot, the pheromones in the air preparing for my biological duty of submitting to the strongest possible mate.
And here, she was my only possible mate, as I was also her only possible bitch; we knew that, we understood that, and yet she didn't care about anything besides as she continued to stroll forwards, the confidence from before remaining even now as she seed certain that she could claim .
Even though I so desperately wanted to shout at her and tell her no, the idea made my knees weak, and before I knew it was I was on the ground staring up at her, unable to stand as I prepared to give myself over to her...
Then the influx of Lust Mana within jolted into action, the surplus of power she gave by being in the mood to breed awakening from this biological haze as I just sent out a wave of the power that I borrowed from Cali.
A wave of power that sapped the heat from the air and had us both gasping for breath as we both remained where we were, empty and cold from the sudden loss of arousal, from the sudden loss of any desires.
Taking in breath after breath, I stood up and shook my head as I said "You need to stop, now.", my voice flatter than normal; that applied to her as well as she just raised a brow and replied "And you need to stop... stop..."
She stumbled over her words, confusion etching her face before realization dawned over her as she began to understand what I had done; she couldn't even get angry at for it as she just blinked a few tis before turning away, cutting off the conversation at that and approaching the egg again.
And yet my problem returned as she just scooped up her blade and sliced the egg in two, getting rid of the monster in a single strike while saying "Let's get going then. No reason to dally around and waste ti."
A double edged spell, I suppose, but as I watched that amniotic fluid begin to bubble while an embryo slid lifelessly onto the marble, I didn't feel anything at all besides recognition that this portion of the trial was over, and I knew that we needed to continue because that was the goal.
Not that I needed to complete the goal, of course, but being trapped seed more boring than being free, and standing here uselessly was boring, so I walked beside the Wolfkin as we exited the temple, slowly having our emotions and desires return, just in a state that wasn't as dangerous as before.
And with it, the burning returned as I realized I was still in heat, but now it was a manageable one as I kept my distance from her, sothing she reciprocated now that she knew what would co from her attempts to do otherwise.
That, or she had been too far gone earlier for her to make a rational decision, and now she was in that state of mind; either way, we were still roaming around, this trial not really having an end goal that we were aware of.
Those monsters weren't it, so that left the question of what we were supposed to be hunting, and why they were here in the first place.
