"Why take her to the hospital when we have a miracle doctor right here?" Harold Chapman nudged Leon Rivers forward. "Do what you just said to wake her up, but actually wake her up."
Simon Sutton "..."
Sheryl Lancaster wasn’t actually unconscious. She suddenly received a phone call instructing her not to leave Jared Quinn’s side, so she pretended to faint. What she didn’t expect was that two n would co in.
Where was Jared Quinn?
"Wake her up? Why wake her up?" Leon Rivers smirked. "People can faint for various reasons. We need to find out why she fainted."
"Oh? How do you figure that out?" Harold Chapman rubbed his chin.
"You can’t tell with clothes on. We’d have to strip her clothes off, and once they’re off, we can figure it out." Leon Rivers walked over to Sheryl Lancaster on the sofa, pressing down on her shoulders, ready to tear off her clothes.
"Ah! Ah!" Sheryl Lancaster suddenly scread, waking up and dodging Leon Rivers’ hands. "What are you doing, what do you guys want?"
"What are we doing? Miss, weren’t you unconscious? I’m here to save you." Leon Rivers sat casually beside Sheryl Lancaster.
"I... I was just passed out a mont ago. I’m awake now, so you don’t need to worry!" Sheryl Lancaster pushed him away with her arm. "Where’s Jared? I want to find Jared!"
"Why the rush?" Leon Rivers grabbed the woman in front of him. "Jared is still in a eting room. He will be here shortly. I heard you were personally brought here by Jared. Looks like there’s hope for you to beco Mrs. Quinn, you know, because Jared has never personally picked up lody Thorne."
"Really?" Sheryl Lancaster was naturally pleased to hear this, montarily ignoring Caleb’s warnings.
"Of course," Leon Rivers began his usual flirting routine with the woman in front of him.
Harold Chapman "..."
The Thorne Family.
"I bet she’s already drenched to the bone. Even I’m starting to feel sorry for her after twenty minutes," Caleb turned his head, looking through the car window at the woman standing in the courtyard, soaking in the rain.
She’s willing to do this for a man who isn’t her biological brother. If it were her real brother, would she not even value her life?
Indeed, her personality hasn’t changed after all these years.
I’m guessing Sheryl Lancaster, being the useless woman she is, won’t last much longer either.
Caleb got out of the car, holding a black umbrella. There was sothing similar about him and Jared Quinn—they both liked black, infinitely black.
"Have you gone mad from the rain?" Caleb moved the umbrella over lody Thorne’s head, letting one shoulder get soaked alongside her, sharing the cold of the rain.
"Did you co here to laugh at ?" lody Thorne’s gaze was fixed on the Thorne Family. If they were willing to save Finn Thorne, maybe she’d consider sparing the Thorne Group.
But they showed no signs of repentance after taking over the Thorne Family, becoming more ruthless instead.
She was determined to take back the Thorne Family.
"I’m not here just to laugh at you," Caleb sneered. "I’m here to teach you how to end it quickly, what is the best way to deal with enemies."
"Bang," the door in front was kicked open.
Terence Thorne and Mrs. Thorne, enjoying their coffee inside, nearly had the life scared out of them by the sound of the door being kicked in.
Turning around, lody Thorne stood in front of them, accompanied by a man—Caleb from The Adler Family.
PS: To clarify, Sheryl Lancaster’s blood is the sa as Timmy’s, previously ntioned to be arranged by Caleb. The main character’s background will be revealed later. Do you feel the plot is moving too fast and hard to follow?
