lody Thorne shivered from the cold and confessed, "It’s Ivy. She wanted to scar my face, make ugly."
She could already see the wound in Jared Quinn’s eyes. Although it was shallow and only a surface scratch, would it leave a scar?

lody Thorne watched him work with lowered eyes, her long lashes casting a shadow under her eyes, curling gracefully, exuding elegance. Her delicate little nose, and rosy little lips were particularly alluring, making her seem very shy and cute.
Jared Quinn’s sexy Adam’s apple bobbed up and down, just looking at her made him feel parched. If only she stayed this quiet and sweet; he would surely cherish her every day, Jared thought quietly.
The wound was quickly taken care of,
"It won’t leave a scar, right?" lody Thorne asked again for reassurance.
"Hmm."
Getting a positive answer, lody Thorne finally felt at ease.
"Brother Jared, we can leave now, but Mrs. Quinn said Mrs. Thorne might not be able to," Harold Chapman entered from outside. "She has connections with the people on the boat. To be precise, although the ship isn’t Mrs. Thorne’s, it has significant ties to her."

Harold Chapman arranged for Mrs. Thorne to be led to a corner of the large ship. lody Thorne walked out, looking at the woman’s back ahead, thinking about how she had spent the past two years constantly worrying about Mrs. Thorne’s life abroad.
